Dead Reset

Terror, buenas interpretaciones, buen argumento y el disfrute de ser inmortal y volver al momento una y otra vez... Encarnas a un cirujano que por una misteriosa razón, cada vez que muere vuelve unos minutos antes de el desenlace fatal, como si fuera el rebobinar el vhs al momento que te interesa. Y por supuesto la toma de decisiones, que es lo más divertido. Puedes elegir una u otra opción y ver que pasará, no importa si te equivocas, todos los demás morirán permanentemente, pero tu seguirás volviendo. La trama está bien hilada y nos recuerda a películas como Alien o La Cosa, en la cual estarás en un extraño complejo intentando contener o eliminar a una criatura que solo tiene como objetivo aniquilar a todo ser viviente. Las actuaciones está bien logradas. No es que sean dignas de un oscar, pero tampoco es que lo necesiten. Los cinco personajes que te acompañan o te dejan de acompañar según se decida la situación, tienen también su trasfondo. Y aunque la película interactiva puede no ser tan larga como querríamos, volver a vivirla tomando otras decisiones, desbloqueando escenas y ganando o perdiendo afinidad con los demás personajes le dan un toque muy especial a éste título. Por cierto, al volver a jugarlo, podremos saltar escenas que ya hemos visto en base a las decisiones que hayamos tomado, es decir, si hemos tomado una decisión previa igual, podremos saltar la secuencia, si la decisión es distinta, la escena cambiará y podremos disfrutar descubriendo más el desarrollo de una trama que si al principio parece simple, se va volviendo compleja con el paso de los capítulos. En definitiva, Dead Reset mezcla suspense, terror y toma de decisiones de una forma magistral. Los personajes que te acompañan (especialmente Fearne y Slade) pueden despertar tu simpatía o tu animadversión, pero lo que tienes claro es que tienes que sobrevivir a toda costa ya sea de una "criatura alienígena letal" o incluso de tus propios compañeros. Por último destacar que podremos disfrutar de éste FMV hasta en calidad 4K sin problemas de rendimiento alguno. Y que el juego de luces, colores, sombras y hasta las localizaciones llegan a ser excepcionales, recordándome a otro FMV conocido como "Late Shift"

It’s okay, I guess. The game isn’t really scary, but I actually liked that there weren’t any annoying jump scares. The monster itself looks pretty cringe though, so it’s hard to take it seriously as something scary. Overall, I think this is one of the better stories from Wales Interactive. If you like their interactive movie-style games, I’d say give it a shot when it’s on sale. It’s worth it for the story.

挺有意思的小品级游戏，服化道都不错，而且流程也短，2小时即可通关。全成就大概5小时以上。 值得一提的是部分场景比较血腥，包括剖腹挖眼等等，如果对此类镜头感到不适请慎入。 游戏剧情，表面讲对抗怪物，实际却是在表达“人比怪物更可怕”这一主题。 所有人都心坏鬼胎，每个人都在撒谎，是放下仇恨齐心协力，还是互相猜疑各自为战，这，是一个问题。 说到剧情，其实剧情转折并不多，总体上高开低走，后期剧情过于平淡。悬疑成分开始还可以，中期开始就很弱了。而且就设定而言，死后复活的时间点明显有大问题，到底以什么时间点为起始，游戏设定完全前后矛盾，到最后也没有给出合理解释。并不能算严谨的科幻作品。 另外，主角全程过于乌龟，从头到尾让人压着打，让玩家完全爽不起来。虽然严格来说不算缺点，但可能会让一些玩家游戏体验不愉快。 前面说过游戏立意不错，但考虑到游戏体量，最终效果相对一般，缺乏足够深度。 游戏的系统也非常烂，虽然可以按TAB键跳过已读情节，但是不能选章节和分支，导致想体验不同结局必须从头来过，非常麻烦。当然，这也可能是故意为之，毕竟体量很小。通过此种方法故意延长时间罢了。偏偏游戏还有体验所有死法的成就，又由于不能跳分支，对于刷成就而言，体验十分恶臭。

Had a bit of a weak start but I quite enjoyed it by the end

It's an okayish game overall. The gore is really good, but some characters didn't get enough screen time, like the psychologist its like the developers didn't know what to do with him. Some choices also feel meaningless, as they much of an impact. The writing is pretty meh, and Amanda's relationship felt like it came out of nowhere felt forced. The game is also a bit too short for its price. Overall, I'd only recommend buying it if it's on a big discount.

I've played almost every Wales Interactive game, and Dead Reset is definitely one of their best. The time-loop mechanic makes every choice feel meaningful, the story kept me hooked, and the atmosphere is tense throughout. The acting and production quality are excellent, making this one of their strongest FMV experiences.

Dead Reset turns dying into progress—and makes every death entertainingly gruesome. The FMV presentation works perfectly for its mix of sci-fi horror, mystery, and dark comedy. Being trapped in an underwater facility with an evolving parasite creates plenty of tension, while the practical gore gives each death a wonderfully over-the-top B-movie quality. The time-loop structure makes failure part of the story rather than a punishment. Choices affect alliances, morality, and the route toward four different endings, giving the game a good reason to replay and explore alternative decisions. Some scenes become repetitive when revisiting earlier branches, and the interaction is naturally limited compared with a traditional adventure game. Still, the strong atmosphere, committed performances, and ridiculous death sequences make it a memorable interactive movie. I came to perform surgery. I stayed because apparently being violently killed was part of the treatment plan.

День Сурка, только мясной трэш с практическими эффектами как в 80х. Актеры на удивление старались, челик в главной роли отыгрывал эмоции после очередной смерти на 110%. Такую жесть я люблю, наверните еще.
