Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best AU #89, worst UK #97 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Sep 11 → 24.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

There’s been a backlog of unsolved cases piling up in the Minor Crimes Division of the Los Zorangeles Police Department and we’ll need a Database Detective to help solve them.
We’ll need you to analyze clues and manipulate data using SQL, a database querying language, to figure out who perpetrated crimes from as minor as littering to as serious as not checking out of a hotel after the check-out time.

Don’t worry! This role is intended to be accessible for those without any SQL experience, so each Database Detective is given an introductory textbook when they start! This short textbook is less than 20 pages and explains everything that’s needed to solve each case.
If you still have trouble writing queries, our comprehensive error messaging system will tell you exactly where your query went wrong, making it easy to correct your mistakes.
Still not enough? Each Database Detective is assigned an assistant who’s ready to answer any questions you might have, whether they be about the case itself or the SQL queries you’ll need to write!

Understanding how to manipulate data using SQL is not the only part of being a Database Detective! Your job will also require you to piece together evidence and clues, just like a real detective! Further on in your Database Detective career, you’ll have to sleuth through the internet and piece cases together yourself.
Fully voice acted mission briefings at the beginning of each case!
Fully hand drawn art for you to enjoy!
More than 40 websites to explore!
10 cases for you to solve, each case getting longer and more complex!
A total of around 8-10 hours of valuable work experience to add to your resume!

Cute sense of humor and satisfying puzzles. Also a decent way to build up some SQL muscle memory if you are learning
I had zero SQL knowledge going in and I absolutely fell in love, right from solving the first case. Besides the handy guide and the funny lil assistant, the quest themselves are so detailed, fun and over the top - the effort put into each case's backdrop is insane. And it's got that silly sense of humour I really adore. Highly recommended 10/10

I had a lot of fun digging into the different cases :) The humour and art direction of the game makes it really charming and i would recommend it to every detective/puzzle fan out there. The later cases really require you to read everything carefully though! I really enjoyed this difficulty curve personally.
If you want to learn SQL in a way that doesn't make your brain hurt, this is it. Mixed in with some cute graphics and on-point humour, and I really enjoyed solving the cases. Big fan of Case five in particular, that is indeed a war crime 🍕
Lovely game. I really like the humor, and love the solving crimes aspect of having to search through different databases and websites in order to find clues and find out 'whodunnit'. Besides that, as someone who had SQL-knowledge beforehand I really enjoyed how the game functions with actually using SQL to solve the cases. Though I do wonder wonder why things some things (like FULL JOIN and ABS() as examples) weren't incorporated, though I did not open the manual even once so idk if it was mentioned somewhere which SQL syntax can and can't be used in the game. I do wish it was a *little* clearer in the end that you can time travel back towards earlier cases, as I did not know, never clicked on the little helper guy in the corner, and wanted to try and get all achievements. This led to me fully replaying the game before figuring out I could time travel, oops.. Either way, I do recommend the game if you enjoy following clues in order to solve crimes/mysteries. I'm pretty sure no prior SQL-knowledge is required, but I did not check, though I feel like the game is also a nice little tool to help you learn some SQL as well.
I really can't say enough good things about this game. It's a good intro to SQL, the cases are mostly really well designed (one's a little more subtle than I'd have liked and I felt like I couldn't build a proper causal chain), I liked the OSINT-style aspects of some of them, and it was honestly nice to just sit and write some SQL queries to get to the bottom of something. I legitimately wish there was more of this sort of thing. I know I could probably do CTFs for similar experiences but it's not quite the same. Anyway -- loved it, hope to see more in the future.
the visuals is really interesting. somewhat nostalgic and just very easy to access. I love the storyline, and basically the entire game. I feel like a computer savant just by playing this game. It is also for those who love cognitive/intellectual games, the difficulty is slowly progressing. Overall, would recommend this.
What a fun, and rewarding game! I love the challenge, the humor and the real world applicability of the game. Zoran was railroaded!
A phenomenal little game with so much effort and love poured into it. I fear the nicheness of SQL will deter a lot of people from playing this who would love it because underneath the SQL there are a bunch of awesome, well designed cases to crack! But of course the SQL is what makes it unique and as someone who loved my databases class in college, this was great fun to play all the way around.
