About
Embark on a grand adventure worthy of a true animated movie with Darwin, an octopus as charming as he is clever, ripped from the ocean and trapped in a massive and mysterious industrial complex. With his extraordinary intelligence and incredible abilities – swimming, camouflage, and many other fascinating skills – help him overcome the most formidable traps and dangers in this captivating platformer, adventure, and puzzle game.
In the peaceful vastness of the ocean, Darwin, a young octopus, explores the deep sea… until a strange beam of light pierces the abyss and pulls him toward the surface. Thrust out of his aquatic world, he wakes up disoriented in the middle of a gigantic junkyard, backed by a foreboding factory.
But something is wrong. Between the threatening machines, strange holding tanks, and the mysterious and dangerous creatures and characters that inhabit the place, Darwin realizes he is in danger. To return to the ocean, Darwin will have to outsmart, evolve, and reveal to the players through his journey the mysteries of a conspiracy that goes beyond anything one could have imagined… and which could very well seal the fate of humanity!

Great game and great visuals. Wish more games like this exist. Just simple and fun gameplay. Love it
I finished most of the game in about 7 hours, The environments and the art design look amazing, but the gameplay is a bit boring all you do is walk, and jump, and figure out how to reach the next area using your abilities, there's no real challenge!! Personally, i didn't enjoy the game because it felt boring Maybe I'll come back and finish it later

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Darwin's Paradox is one of those fun, romps of a game that has you hoping there is a sequel because who doesn't want more of an octopus evading aliens whilst being chased by a rather peeved seagull?! The mechanics worked well for me on my gaming laptop with responsive controls. The visuals are bright and appealing. The game itself involves a lot of sneaking and only simple puzzle solving which some people seem to highlight as an issue whereas I went into it looking for a playful game, almost like an animated film, to play a part in. It is what the demo promised and what the game delivered! At the time of writing this review the game is hugely discounted which makes it a great time to add it to your library.
Darwin's Paradox is a really enjoyable cinematic 2D puzzle adventure game. It's short, I finished it in less than 4 hours, but it's paced well and doesn't feel like it overstays its welcome. The game looks great and the story is told really well considering there's not a single line of dialogue, it's all visual. The story ends rather abruptly, but I had fun all the way to the end. I'm glad there are still new games like this out there. If this looks interesting, pick it up. It will not disappoint.
well made, fun but not that deep
Octopus walking simulator. Get it on sale.
It breaks my heart this game didn't get more recognition. It was well crafted and had great design and ideas.
Fun game! Would play again so I can find all the extras. I think this is definitely playable for those who aren't hardcore gamers (like myself) but still like a bit of a challenge and adventure.
