About
Embark on a grand adventure worthy of a true animated movie with Darwin, an octopus as charming as he is clever, ripped from the ocean and trapped in a massive and mysterious industrial complex. With his extraordinary intelligence and incredible abilities – swimming, camouflage, and many other fascinating skills – help him overcome the most formidable traps and dangers in this captivating platformer, adventure, and puzzle game.
In the peaceful vastness of the ocean, Darwin, a young octopus, explores the deep sea… until a strange beam of light pierces the abyss and pulls him toward the surface. Thrust out of his aquatic world, he wakes up disoriented in the middle of a gigantic junkyard, backed by a foreboding factory.
But something is wrong. Between the threatening machines, strange holding tanks, and the mysterious and dangerous creatures and characters that inhabit the place, Darwin realizes he is in danger. To return to the ocean, Darwin will have to outsmart, evolve, and reveal to the players through his journey the mysteries of a conspiracy that goes beyond anything one could have imagined… and which could very well seal the fate of humanity!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played this game from start to finish. I love games where you truly have to use your noodle in place of weapons to overcome challenges. While Darwin's Paradox feels familiar as Oddworld: Abe's Oddessy, they are definitely not the same, and expecting that is setting yourself up for disappointment. While this game has much to like, some of the level design is just straight-up sadistic with no adequate checkpoints; a quick-save feature would definitely cut down on some of the unnecessary frustration encountered prior to playing through a small handful of difficult sections. With that said, if you plan on getting this game for a child, while appropriate, it may be a bit much for them to handle. Besides that, I enjoyed the journey but didn't like the ending; it just abruptly ends. It feels like there should have been more game, but the credits just roll. At the point where it ended, it doesn't even feel appropriate to justify a sequel so see what happens where the game should have continued instead of ending. In conclusion, Darwin's Paradox is enjoyable, but falls short of being totally satisfying. If you're curious, I'd say get it on sale for whatever price and give it a go.

i didnt have any issues with the demo. so i bought the game and now it keeps having fatal crashes. can this be fixed ? any suggestions?
I'm not much for platformers or side-scrollers, but this one is exceptional. hands down the best level design iv seen in years. They put allot of love into this one and it shows. I had fun the entire time playing. never a dull moment.
Fun, like so few games these days. Music, animation, and storyline are superb.
