About
Embark on a grand adventure worthy of a true animated movie with Darwin, an octopus as charming as he is clever, ripped from the ocean and trapped in a massive and mysterious industrial complex. With his extraordinary intelligence and incredible abilities – swimming, camouflage, and many other fascinating skills – help him overcome the most formidable traps and dangers in this captivating platformer, adventure, and puzzle game.
In the peaceful vastness of the ocean, Darwin, a young octopus, explores the deep sea… until a strange beam of light pierces the abyss and pulls him toward the surface. Thrust out of his aquatic world, he wakes up disoriented in the middle of a gigantic junkyard, backed by a foreboding factory.
But something is wrong. Between the threatening machines, strange holding tanks, and the mysterious and dangerous creatures and characters that inhabit the place, Darwin realizes he is in danger. To return to the ocean, Darwin will have to outsmart, evolve, and reveal to the players through his journey the mysteries of a conspiracy that goes beyond anything one could have imagined… and which could very well seal the fate of humanity!

Reviews
Purchased during the summer sale and no regrets. A great little platformer for when you need a breather between longer games, can be somewhat repetitive, so I found it perfect to play intermittently.
Janky platformer with some puzzles mixed in. Lots of bs scenes, where you need to duck into cover as enemies bumble randomly and instantly kill you on sight. The good parts are few and far between, overall would not recommend.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As wood as gaming gets. You won't regret it. One particular easter egg is worth it enough. BTW: People complaining it is too hard are not even trying
No jogo final nada disso existe.
LOVED playing this game! The puzzles were challenging but also kept the story moving. Some of the more difficult moments I had to step away haha The storyline is really cute and all you want is to see Darwin and his friend, safe! check out my Youtube Channel for the full gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/@Northwest_Sim
A very short and funny platform/stealth game, but to buy only during sales, as it will give you 7, maybe 8 hours of game top. A 8 out of 10 overall, but not worth of 20+ Euros investment, so I repeat: buy it on heavy sales only like I did. Kergonan out
Darwin's Paradox is one of those fun, romps of a game that has you hoping there is a sequel because who doesn't want more of an octopus evading aliens whilst being chased by a rather peeved seagull?! The mechanics worked well for me on my gaming laptop with responsive controls. The visuals are bright and appealing. The game itself involves a lot of sneaking and only simple puzzle solving which some people seem to highlight as an issue whereas I went into it looking for a playful game, almost like an animated film, to play a part in. It is what the demo promised and what the game delivered! At the time of writing this review the game is hugely discounted which makes it a great time to add it to your library.
