One of my favorite games of all time, and my favorite roguelite for sure. Darkest dungeons is a often known as the "dark souls of roguelites" and for good reason. It is a super punishing game that will bound to cause you to rage at least a few times throughout its playthrough. In fact, there is a good chance that the difficulty will desuade many new players from continuing the game. However, if you manage to push through the difficulty, I promise you darkest dungeons will be one of the best experiences you will ever have. The core gameplay loop involves recruiting heroes, preparing these heroes via items and upgrading, then sending time to fight dungeons to gather loot and upgrade your main lobby and heroes even more, beating bosses on the way. The story it tells is also very interesting and fits the premise perfectly. Overall, a definite recommend from me
