Reviews
This one makes an improvement from the first and third but still suffers the same problems with the game as a whole. I would say Dark Quest 2 is the best one that feels more immersive and interesting but Dark Quest 4 feels more like you're playing a table top game. The big problem that this game suffers from is that you cannot return to town if you're not in a good position to continue in the dungeon, you just lose everything you worked for and have to start over. The game made like a really poorly designed DnD session where your DM is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and just wants to TPK you over and over and give you no agency or method of progression outside of absolute luck and he keeps fudging the dice behind the screen rolls just so that you take more damage and calls the game "high stakes". This game is only about getting lucky and not about playing tactically or with sound logic. Overall, the game has a good story and good idea but poorly executed. Maybe they will learn about player agency in Dungeon Quest 5 and giving the play a real means of progression. DO NOT BUY.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Holy crap no. Just no. You will have fun for exactly 7 minutes. I am actually still finishing the game as my monday-night gaming buddies insist on completing it and im hating every second of it. The best part all around is dying early in a level and scroll on my phone while my friends finish the map. Some more detail: The art is nice but gets old quick. Theres little to no animation, which i could live with if the time saved on it was spent on something else in the game. Spoiler: It wasnt You get an apparent vast pool of characters to pick from, of which none are fun or distinct. The one dude does 3 damage with a red ball, the other with a blue ball.... It so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uninspired. How is this the fourth game? What was Dark Quest 1? A screensaver? Worst of all, apart from the boring level design, are the "RPG" elements, consisting of skills, potions and equipment. Most champs have 3-4 Skill slot in which you can choose the skills you want. I know what you are thinking. "Well, that sounds fun. I can swap and change my skills depending on the enemies etc." Well guess what: THERE ARE ONLY 3-4 SKILLS PER CHARAKTER. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!? WAS 3 THE MAXIMUM OF CREATIVITY OF THE DEVS? Oops, dont forget you can buy equipment too! You have 2 (-3) Equipment Slots... GUESS. THE. ♥♥♥♥. WHAT. Could it be that there are only 2-3 viable equipment choices per character? HOW DID YOU GUESS? Ahhh, dont let me forget the other cancer inducing feature... After using a character, even if sucessfully ending the map. He/She is fatiqued and needs to rest (by picking a different champ for a map). If you want to use the same items / potions etc. with that other champ, you need to constantly swap the items in the store... theres no loadout system. And even the menue to accomplish it is beyond ♥♥♥♥. I cannot epress how much i hate this game. Its so unbelievably boring it makes me angry, how is that even possible?
I really enjoyed the previous games, but this one brings nothing new to the table, only bugs... The game freezes often forcing you to quit and restart the mission from begining. Let's say eventually the bugs will be fixed, even so the game it's not worth your money (nor your time). Get Dark Quest 3 and/or Dark Quest 2 instead. If you already played them, sit this one out.
BUY THIS GAME! -The President
A good fourth opus of the series, although probably not the best one (I think I recall I preferred the third, but not 100% sure though). You cannot be wrong with Dark Quest: a very nice dungeon crawling game that you will enjoy playing.
По сравнению с предыдущей частью - крайне неудобный интерфейс, плюс зачем-то вместо панели действий придумали карточки - видимо, в угоду трендам. Первые три части были тотальным восторгом, от этой только негативные впечатления, незачёт
Dark Quest 4 is a turn-based dungeon crawler where you build a party of heroes and take on a series of quests filled with traps, enemies, and resource management. It continues the tabletop-inspired structure of the Dark Quest series, focusing on party composition, turn-based combat, and dungeon exploration. Pros ✔️ The core gameplay is still intact - It keeps the foundation of what I’ve always liked about Dark Quest, which made it easy to jump into. ✔️ Most characters are unlocked right away - Not having to grind just to access basic options felt good and let me experiment freely. ✔️ The fatigue system adds pressure - On paper, it encourages you to think about who you bring and when, instead of relying on the same party every time. Cons ❌ It feels like it has the least heart in the series - Compared to the previous games, this one feels flatter and less inspired. ❌ Fatigue can feel punishing instead of strategic - Rather than encouraging smart rotation, it often felt like it was just getting in the way. ❌ Some levels rely too much on prior knowledge - A few dungeons felt less about playing well and more about already knowing what was coming, which I didn’t love. Conclusion I love the Dark Quest series, which honestly made this one harder to sit with. It’s not a bad game, but after watching the series steadily improve with each entry, this felt like a step sideways instead of forward. I never hated my time with it, I just kept wishing it had more of the spark that made the earlier games stand out. If you’re already a fan, it’s still worth checking out — just go in with tempered expectations. Score 6/10 Worn Dice — Still playable, just not the roll I was hoping for.
Enemy will always block with only 10-20% chance and I will constantly fail 60%-80%. Game's director smudges the dice rolls behind the scenes and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. How loot and money are handle in the game are the some of the worse I've encountered in a long time. Game pretends to be DnD but refuses to add any support to balance out the massive amounts of damage you will keep taking. So no good or reliable healing in anyway. Ai makes better game design than this.
Dark Quest 4 does have some very attractive aspects. I wish the development would have continued, but as is, it a compelling board game come to life--great for a rainy day.
Surprisingly fun, great to relax and play with the wife. I'm working on creating my own dungeons now...
