«Dark Mystery»

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.
This has potential but is currently pretty rough. For starters, there is no way that I can find to exit the game other than forcing shutdown through windows task manager or taskbar. The physics in the game need help too: why do I get stuck to walls when I jump into them and why is the box puzzle on level 11 nearly impossible to complete? On the plus side, the music is catchy and it's relatively easy for young kids to play/progress until the box/spring puzzle.

The worst game I've played, ever.
Dark Mystery is an earnest indie platformer that blends traditional side-scrolling challenges with light puzzle elements, aiming to deliver a moody adventure centered on love, perseverance, and danger. Developed and published by Yash Future Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd, the game positions itself as a classic “journey through darkness” experience, where atmosphere and steady challenge matter more than innovation or spectacle. While its ambitions are modest, it strives to offer a complete and substantial experience through a large number of levels and a consistent gameplay loop. The premise is simple and familiar. You take control of Furry, a small protagonist who ventures into a hostile Dark World in an attempt to rescue his beloved Queen. The story is intentionally minimal, serving more as a thematic motivation than a narrative driver. There are no elaborate cutscenes or deep character interactions; instead, the emotional hook is implied through the journey itself. This approach keeps the focus firmly on gameplay, but it also means the narrative impact relies almost entirely on player imagination rather than storytelling depth. Gameplay revolves around classic platforming fundamentals: running, jumping, avoiding hazards, and navigating enemy-filled environments. These mechanics are combined with environmental puzzles that require observation and timing rather than abstract logic. Levels often ask players to assess enemy patterns, identify safe routes, and execute precise jumps under pressure. The game gradually introduces more complex arrangements of obstacles, ensuring that later stages demand greater concentration and coordination than the opening sections. One of the defining characteristics of Dark Mystery is its level count and progression. With dozens of stages to complete, the game offers a sense of length and commitment uncommon in smaller indie platformers. Early levels act as tutorials, easing players into movement and basic hazards, while later stages ramp up difficulty through tighter jumps, denser enemy placement, and less forgiving layouts. This escalation provides a clear sense of advancement, though it can also expose inconsistencies in difficulty balance, where some levels feel disproportionately punishing compared to those around them. Visually, the game embraces a dark, shadow-heavy aesthetic that aligns with its theme. Environments are designed to feel ominous and hostile, using subdued colors and dim lighting to convey danger. Enemy designs are straightforward but effective, clearly signaling threats while fitting into the grim atmosphere. However, this visual approach can sometimes work against gameplay clarity, as platforms and hazards may blend into the background, forcing players to rely on trial and error rather than immediate visual readability. Controls and responsiveness reflect the game’s indie origins. Movement is functional, but not always as tight or fluid as genre standouts, which can make precise platforming sections more frustrating than intended. Small input delays or awkward jumps occasionally undermine otherwise well-designed challenges. These issues don’t render the game unplayable, but they do demand patience, especially in later levels where precision becomes essential. An unusual but welcome inclusion is the option for local two-player gameplay. This cooperative mode allows a second player to join in on the same screen, transforming the experience into a shared challenge. While not deeply integrated into level design, it adds a social dimension that can make difficult sections more enjoyable and less punishing when tackled together. Audio design is minimal but serviceable. Background music reinforces the somber tone without becoming intrusive, and sound effects provide basic feedback for movement, hazards, and enemy interactions. While the soundtrack is not particularly memorable, it supports the atmosphere effectively and avoids distracting from gameplay. Overall, Dark Mystery is a game defined by sincerity rather than polish. It does not attempt to reinvent the platformer genre, instead offering a straightforward journey built on familiar mechanics and a consistent mood. Its strengths lie in its quantity of content, clear progression, and atmospheric intent, while its weaknesses stem from uneven difficulty, limited narrative depth, and mechanical roughness. For players who enjoy traditional puzzle platformers and are willing to overlook technical imperfections, Dark Mystery can provide a lengthy and occasionally satisfying challenge. It may not stand alongside the most refined indie platformers, but it offers a complete experience that reflects the ambitions of a small developer striving to deliver a meaningful adventure through a dark and dangerous world.
