About
"Like Qvadriga, a title that DF sometimes brings to mind, this is a game that fills a five-minute play window as efficiently and agreeably as it fills a thirty-minute one. Exhilarating, easy on the eye and ear, and very moreish" - Tim Stone, Rock Paper Shotgun
"Turns white line fever into something thinky" - Jody Macgregor, PC Gamer

One of my all time favorite games. no matter what else i play, this is always the game i come back too. Awesome real-time strategy / driving game with some very cool slow-mo moments.
I am a 52 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing Dark Future: Blood Red States. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son found this game at Christmas, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. Loaded into the game world and started playing but I was stuck on what you were supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he helped me. Loved it as it was the best time had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories. Thank you <3

A genre of its own!
Good stuff! I love this so much. I have a love for vehicular battle with slo mo decision time. Niche yes but SO GOOD
Fun game. Unfortunately too many game crashes. I initially played this a few years ago, and it has a alright game loop. Fight enemies. Buy upgrades. Repeat. But after a certain point, when I finish missions the game just crashes. Causing me to either repeat the mission or uninstall the game.
This would be an okay game but it is crashing all the time. "An Unreal process has crashed. UE4-DarkFuture..."
good
i owned this game a few months ago. i didn't play very much of it yet but i'm in the mood now and discover it wasn't on my list of games. here on the storefront, there's no indication of my ownership either....but i can write this review.....so that's weird. sigh. gee, i'd really like to play my game. i bought it with my own money bc it looks so badass. i have no clue why i can't play my own game 😩 i've barely play'd this game but i enjoyed what i did play of it and know i'm gonna enjoy more of it....so i will recommend it it but i'm just an idiot, so i might not even know what i'm talk'n about 🤷🏻♂️. it does look frig'n sweet, tho 😮
This appeared randomly for free in my steam games. I wished it hadn't. Either they are leaving their own reviews or paying for them cause no way in hell does this game have mostly positive for $25.
Controls are questionable and really needs controller support and mission balance is all over the place, but once you get into it, it becomes a fun arcadey experience. Worth giving a try when its only a couple of dollars, though certainly not worth it at anywhere near full price.
