Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Sep 3 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
clunky controls, input delay, deeply confusing story right off the bat, somehow fast paced action with a really stiff awkward camera and bad lock on system

This has been an amazing game so far. I have read most of the other reviews. Most of the issues seem to be: 1 - You aren't a proper mech like the original game. 2 - The camera can go a bit crazy. For number 1, I thought that at the beginning, but I actually grew to prefer the "mechsuits" of the current game as I prefer the scaling. For number 2, I do understand this, but I haven't found it an issue. This has been one of the most enjoyable games I have played in recent times, and is one of the reasons I recently got Steam. Totally recommend!
After Silksong came and conquered the minds of nearly every gamer(except others and I) excited to finally trying it out after years of patience, there were other games that were unfortunately left hanging on the same day of release. Chronos New Dawn, Shuten Order, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion(DxM:TS), Hell is Us. I felt it was time to try one of these and see how it holds up. I picked DxM:TS since I love mechs and I had previously played the first entry years ago. And I gotta say it feels like an amalgamation of a host of varied games picking minor and major things. A little bit of Nier, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Armored Core, Halo, Iron Man, Sekiro and a favorite film of mine from actor Clive Owen in my 10/10 films grabbed my attention. A dartboard full of these ideas and it left me after the end credits rolled leaning on positive, but still frowning a tad due to the mixed feelings I had during my playthrough which I will detail later. First the premise. Many years after the events in the first game. There exists a conflict between Outers and humans. Outers are beings who have gained special abilities using femto. Outers are rejected by human society and have suffered with cruel treatment due to the humans. Our story begins hundreds of years after the great war between humans and Outers. Humans lost and thus we need to follow the Outers rule who have dubbed themselves the Sovereign Axiom. The remaining humans who resist such a strict military regime are called Reclaimers. We follow the story of one who is a member of the Axiom and must somehow escape a space station, what happens thereafter intrigued me enough to keep going until the end credits. To make this easier for those who are into Universal Century Gundam it’s a tiny bit similar with Zeons against the Earth government 0079. I'm bringing the Gundam example because I started watching it recently and couldn’t help notice some broad parallels when you compare newtypes and Outers too. But I digress the TL: DR is basically a civil war ala X-Men vs humans ish in the far future for a light surface level comparison. First I want to say right off the bat the storytelling is leagues better than the previous one. More tighter, more digestible than the anime-like DXM 1 who loves spewing monologues like no tomorrow about some ideals, and villains waxing poetically with no meaning. Equaling useless text. Here we don’t receive any of that bullcrap. The cast is serious, the antagonists are a real threat, stakes are pretty high and the boss fights continue to be an excellent tug of war, which I'm relieved they kept that aspect from the previous entry. Antagonists in particular deserve special mention due to how the game contextualizes them and while it could be better which I will note further in my mixed feelings. We don’t quite have memorable antagonists in mech games I've played thus far. So this was an eye opener in ways they retool a familiar premise and the segments we the main cast go through to see the end. A likeable diverse main cast, one in particular actually butts heads with us instead of glazing or already treating us with respect. Finally someone with the balls to be skeptical to us! And be Suspicious! And likewise our main character can be a grumpy, sassy, takes no sass with interesting dialogue options to be gruff, an ‘a’ hole, or the usual plain goody two shoes response. I also dig the silence as an option too. As if I can’t deign this with a response so I’ll be silent. I do recommend completing their sidequests to learn more about them, maybe you might get a kick of the responses you make during conversation and outcomes of the assignments. Gameplay is more powered armor but still kinda mech because it barely fits and I shouldn’t say anymore due to spoilers. But for those who have watched a certain all time favorite in mecha from Gainax then you may have an inkling what I may be alluding to. Funny because I predicted something like this would occur months before release. But to sum up the gameplay it feels downsized to encompass the human element in animation form in conjunction of the Outer vs. Human premise, while broadening horizons. It’s a bold shift I dig from the mech sizes. One of the cool features the sequel has are slapping genes factors onto your character. Think of these as special power ups to enhance your character from passives, unique weapon abilities like I said above and special abilities such as: Going invis, hacking, mind control, heavy kick, auto dodge, powered up state etc. Genes are pretty fun to have and you can mix and match them to your liking and farm them if you wish to gain higher levels in your respective categories.
Cracks in my Mech! - Mixed Feelings
Falling down invincibility & Jank. Weirdly enough getting knocked down incurs an invincible state for you and enemies. Around 4 to 5 seconds, this isn’t a problem early on. But during early game if you can’t evade properly or get blasted off your feet it becomes a tedious struggle to get back on your feet. MMO quests with some exceptions. I’ve played FFXIV, and know MMO quests by the dozens, with boring assignments inside. DXM: TS sadly fits the bill in regards to this with some racing, escorting, killing monsters, retrieving items, with most of them being simply earning money and some equipment with some chip modules. If that’s not enough you’ll encounter repeatable quests too. The best sidequests I feel should make the player feel something, let them learn a lesson, engage them with worldbuilding and offer intrigue or perhaps something about villains hohoho. So I'll list some notable ones to cut through the meh ones. Copy Paste Level design in linear corridors and somewhat in overworld. God my pet peeve in gaming is reusing content in a lazy way than offering clever use of reusing old content. Once you’ve seen the first rocky cavern, facility you’ve seen them all in the game. I’m not joking. Everytime you’re subjected to exploring an underground cavern you’ll see the same glowing rocky walls with the same color palette and textures.
A Titanic but Gentle Reminder
There’s nothing wrong with trying out one of the most anticipated games, especially if you’ve been waiting for it. But I always feel a bit sad about other games also deserving the spotlight and attention that have been overshadowed because of a shadowdrop announcement. Some have called Silksong’s release date reveal as ‘a little callous and many other indies have decided to delay their respective games because of the "GTA of Indies"is finally launching. So it becomes hard for indies who are to make a break become blindsided by bigger sharks looking to grab the 1st of a consumer's interest. Hell this year alone had Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remaster doing the same with another indie jokingly being re-released.As someone who tries to look for hidden gems in gaming and indies I want to give a gentle reminder to remember the little fellas out there, the other indies, obscure, old, and AA games are worthy of your attention too if you’re interested. And Titanic Scion at least in my opinion scratches the mech aspect in ways we don’t receive in the niche genre. 7/10
This game is more fun than it has any right to be, I am not sure the negative reviews are justified
