If you got this in the Monthly, fine enough if you can get someone to play with. Do not buy this unless you have a friend to coop, the dialogue is cringe-worthy, the gameplay is floaty and you could have just bought AC6 instead.

Titanic scion is a fun sequel to the original daemon x machina. It changes enough to refresh the experience while also keeping it roughly the same in feel. It's a bummer that the mechs have a timer as it has caused me not to use mine. The main gameplay with the exosuit makes up for that though. Some torso armor have one of three abilities my favorite being the wings so I can go faster. This game features transmog for armor unlike the first one which is very nice. I like that gear has different stat rolls as well since I feel more inclined to farm a certain piece if I know I can get a god roll. The game can be played entirely in cross platform coop from start to finish minus the tutorial mission. The optimization isn't the best sadly and is still an issue even on my current Gen AMD card. I hit a stable 120fps but will notice dips which causes the game to stutter when I turn the camera too fast. I would just lock the game to different fps like 90 or 100 but it has preset fps limits (30,60,120) instead of letting me choose. Overall good game with good customization and a fun story and cool abilities and equipment. I recommend whether it's on sale or not. Even with frame dips the game is still very playable and enjoyable.
The customization and loadouts are fantastic to play around with. The open world is decent. Story is decent. Overall enjoying the game.

It's alright. Gameplay is fun but the open world sucks.
Assez éloigné de ce qu'était le premier jeu (en même temps, l'original était pensé pour la Nintendo Switch). Cette deuxième mouture de la licence Daemon X Machina est plus à prendre comme un soft reboot, où le gameplay nerveux et la customisation ont été conservés, mais où le reste a subi une réécriture massive. Même s'il est possible d'invoquer un Arsenal (nom donné aux méchas du premier jeu) temporairement, il faudra vous habituer à explorer et combattre à taille humaine. Le scénario est "ok", on ne cassera pas la troisième patte du canard cette fois-ci, avec une pléthore de clichés de la mise en scène SF japonaise, mais les fans d'anime ne devraient pas être dépaysés. Il me reste encore à explorer le contenu du DLC et un peu de post-game, mais il est assez difficile de trouver la volonté d'y revenir quand de meilleurs jeux sont disponibles quand on veut tâter du robot géant. Au global, si vous mettez la main dessus lors d'une campagne de promotion, n'hésitez pas, Daemon X Machina 2 est un jeu agréable, mais il n'est clairement pas au niveau d'un Armored Core VI (où le scénario et la mise en scène étaient bien plus poussés) et le monde ouvert n'apporte pas suffisamment au jeu pour le rendre incontournable. En résumé : - recommandé => oui - chaudement => non Et 60€ de DLC cosmétique, quoi... 🙄
