Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 27 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Its extremely fun. Its not very hard the answers are pretty easy to see but the story is what makes the game what it is. I would recommend everyone who enjoys detective games to play this
quick but worthwhile. i had fun

While a bit short (although it depends on your reading speed and how good you are at deductive gameplay), this game is fantastic and I'd love to see more games like it. I also took great joy in drawing loads of big willies and boobies on pictures of famous historical figures
The game only lasted me four hours, but it was four hours spent enjoying a puzzle game more than I ever have before. For how much the game costs I am completely satisfied with what I got from it
Fantastic game, and a great entry in the Roottree-like genre. The mechanics are developed well compared to other games' in the genre — in particular, the fact that the evidence changes over time is truly novel. The solves were clever, but I never felt stuck. The story is lively, and uses the supernatural conceit to its fullest. It also has some fun things to say about the nature of power and how it corrupts. The characters are fun to follow through the death game that they all play. The writing is delightful, and in particular it's very fun to read through the large encyclopedia of daemons, even if many of them won't be relevant at all to the story. My only criticism there is that they could've used another proofreading pass for punctuation. A must-play not only for fans of Roottrees, but also just people who want a mystery game. Big thumbs up, and I hope the dev goes on to make more incredible games.
it's too disorganized. i want imoportant things to be automatically highlighted
DAEMON MASQUERADE is a supernatural detective adventure that builds its identity around investigation, deduction, careful reading, and the organization of evidence rather than traditional combat. Developed and published by Callum Page, it presents a distinctive mixture of visual novel storytelling, point-and-click exploration, puzzle solving, dark fantasy, and anime-inspired presentation. The game is especially appealing to players who enjoy mysteries where reaching the correct conclusion requires understanding the information they have collected rather than simply following objective markers from one scripted revelation to another. The premise immediately gives the investigation a compelling sense of danger. Detective Lambda, accompanied by Biblios, the Daemon of Records, enters the 93rd Daemon Masquerade as the seventh and final pair of contestants. Their task is to uncover the identities and Daemonic powers of six opposing competitors within seven days. Failure carries an extreme consequence, as the pair faces erasure from existence. Making matters worse, the other contestants have reasons to keep their identities and abilities secret, creating an environment where obtaining information can be just as dangerous as confronting an enemy directly. What makes the concept particularly effective is that the supernatural elements are closely connected to the detective mechanics. Players are not merely determining who committed a crime. They must examine personalities, relationships, suspicious behavior, identities, and unusual powers while considering how individual discoveries fit into the wider competition. Knowing who someone is may only answer part of the mystery because their Daemonic ability can remain another puzzle entirely. This gives investigations several interconnected layers and encourages players to reconsider earlier assumptions as new evidence appears. A major feature is the conspiracy-style evidence board, which provides a dedicated space for organizing information. Evidence can be arranged according to whatever method makes sense to the player, allowing the investigation to develop into a personalized collection of clues and theories. The ability to annotate evidence is especially useful because observations and suspicions can be recorded directly alongside relevant information. For a mystery containing numerous characters and interconnected details, this feature helps turn information management into an active component of solving the case rather than an inconvenience. The Thread of Logic system further strengthens the deduction process. Instead of reducing investigation to repeatedly guessing from a fixed selection until the correct answer appears, the game encourages players to support conclusions using the facts they have discovered. Its approach allows reasoning to feel more flexible, with the important requirement being whether sufficient evidence supports a conclusion. This makes successful deductions satisfying because progress comes from understanding relationships between clues. Players who enjoy constructing theories and testing them against available evidence should find this one of the game's most rewarding qualities. Presentation is another memorable part of the experience. Its hand-drawn artwork combines anime influences with comic-like visual elements and an appropriately strange supernatural atmosphere. Dark fantasy, conspiracy, mystery, and occasional humor coexist without completely undermining the danger surrounding the competition. The 1997 setting also complements the investigative premise by giving the story a period identity that feels suitably removed from the convenience of modern smartphones and instant access to information. The pacing is intentionally methodical. A considerable portion of the experience revolves around dialogue, reading evidence, observing characters, organizing information, and thinking about possible connections. Players seeking constant action may therefore find it slower than a conventional adventure or RPG. For its intended audience, however, the slower pace works in the game's favor. It creates enough room to consider clues and makes discoveries feel earned instead of immediately explaining every important detail. The structure of the Masquerade also provides a natural source of suspense. Each opposing participant effectively represents another mystery within the larger mystery, and every uncovered identity or ability brings the investigation closer to its ultimate objective. Since contestants have an incentive to conceal what they know, even ordinary conversations can potentially contain valuable information or deliberate misdirection. This encourages attentive reading and gives seemingly minor details the possibility of becoming significant later. Steam Deck compatibility should be approached with some caution. DAEMON MASQUERADE does not have a clearly established official Steam Deck compatibility rating confirming it as Verified. Its relatively lightweight visual novel, point-and-click, and deduction-oriented design may make handheld play feasible, but players should not interpret that as guaranteed compatibility. Controller behavior, interface readability, text entry for annotation features, and any Proton-specific issues may affect the experience. Until an official Deck rating or sufficiently established compatibility information is available, its Steam Deck status is best considered Playable rather than confidently labeled as fully compatible. Overall, DAEMON MASQUERADE stands out by treating deduction as the foundation of the experience rather than a secondary feature. Its supernatural competition provides an intriguing narrative framework, while the evidence board, annotation functions, and Thread of Logic system encourage players to actively participate in solving its mysteries. The unusual combination of occult powers, dangerous contestants, investigative freedom, and stylized artwork gives the game considerable personality. It will be most rewarding for players who enjoy taking notes, connecting clues, questioning character motivations, and reaching conclusions through their own reasoning. Rating: 9/10
