Dadish is a 2d platforming game about a dad who is a radish. However, below the surface this game has the essence of all platformers. Yes, its simple and mostly quite easy, but that makes it all the easier to pick up and play. Whilst playing, I found myself admiring how cosy the experience was, from the absolute banger soundtrack to the pixelated fast-food enemies. The humour was a highlight. Almost every joke landed, and some made my sides split. The unexpectedness of some of the jokes and the dry humour made it funny, but the tired tone of Dadish throughout will relate to any parent, as well as giving younger people something to think about. The gameplay itself was terrific. Every level provided a new and unique challenge, or built off of an older one. Every one flows really well and is a delight to speedrun, adding tens of hours of replays. The game's difficulty curve was subtle, but whenever I thought about it I realised how far I had come in such a short time. Dadish is not the best 2d platformer. Not at all. However, Dadish is the ultimate 2d platformer. It embodies every aspect of any good sidescroller, and is a great way to pick up the platformer genre. Its not even expensive, or time consuming. I would recommend anyone and everyone with an interest in platformers play this game. Overall, for what it is, Dadish is perfect. A cosy, 1-2 hr adventure that will leave you laughing and satisfied. There are literally no negatives to this game. 10/10
