Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I discovered this game from a YouTube short. Maybe my first time purchasing a video game from a recommendation like that, but the premise of the game left me intrigued. Having completed the game, I can say that I am glad I picked it up. Although the plot of the game strayed from what I had envisioned, a dystopia, I believe I happened upon something more valuable. Narrative-wise, the game elicits questions about morality and happiness. The cast of characters is endearing and memorable. The music is whimsical some of the time and appropriately mysterious at others. The puzzle game-play isn't terribly challenging, but I did notice that it nicely corresponded with narrative beats at times. I had a great time. I would totally recommend.

One of the most relaxing narrative-driven puzzle games I have ever experienced. D-topia is a perfect example of how puzzles should be implemented in a relaxing game: they are challenging without becoming frustrating, tedious, or outright distressing! Beautiful, melancholic, and confidently paced, the game excels at immersing the player in its world. Rather than rushing into the central conflict, it allows you to settle into your vocational role, gradually becoming familiar with the world through your "facilitator" duties. The narrative unfolds organically through a combination of environmental storytelling and both optional and mandatory NPC interactions. By the time you find yourself deeply entangled in the story's central conflict, you've already invested time, emotion, and labor into the world. As a result, both the immersion and the emotional impact are significantly heightened. It seems like an obvious approach, yet so many devs fail to allow this kind of natural progression. I was surprised to discover that many players completed the game in a fraction of the time that I did, though I suspect that is largely due to my tendency to explore every corner, experiment with mechanics, and simply exist within a game's world rather than rush toward its conclusion. The mechanics and concepts found throughout this serene science-fiction setting are not entirely new, but they are combined and executed in ways that feel fresh. As a science-fiction fan, I found myself fascinated by the technology, history, and worldbuilding that make D-topia possible. The setting feels lived-in, and I frequently found myself wanting to learn more about how everything functioned beneath the surface. I also thoroughly enjoyed the NPC interactions. The conversations feel natural and contribute meaningfully to the world, though I do wish the same level of depth afforded to the main cast had been extended to more of the supporting characters. I found myself wanting to know many of them better. D-topia is a quiet, thoughtful experience that trusts the player to slow down, absorb its atmosphere, and become invested naturally. It is a rare game that understands immersion is not created through spectacle, but through patience, subtlety, and allowing the player to truly inhabit its world.
boring......
Un excellent jeu qui en plus d'être très beau et d'avoir un gameplay original est très ancré dans la réalité actuelle, avec de beaux messages de tolérance et d'entre-aide. Attention, pas un jeu de speed runners ;-)
D-Topia is an absolute delight of an indie game. It's a relaxing narrative experience with simple yet engaging puzzles (that can become very challenging), endearing characters with fascinating backstories, and a message about the future that is surprisingly human and uplifting. The writing is simple yet charming - it feels like it's written in a way so that even kids can fully comprehend it. And I think that's a great thing. Yet that doesn't mean it doesn't cover sensitive or serious topics. It was honestly surprising how serious some of the game's themes are. It beautifully walks the line between bleak and hopeful, truly immersing you in the kind of future it depicts. And what's most refreshing about it is that it approaches it in a very mature and honest way. Oftentimes these days, I feel like whenever a piece of media is known for, or tries to take credit for, sensitive/serious topics or themes, it approaches them in very inauthentic ways. It's either some sort of romanticization or oversimplification of the topic at hand - being either purposely over-the-top, having forced "deep" or emotional moments, or some sort of shock value. It feels underhanded, with the sole intention of grabbing your attention and an (often successful attempt) at being sensational. D-Topia is not like that; it is one of the rare pieces of media, especially narrative indie games, that is just so honest and tells its story without being loud, obnoxious, or just plain wrong. Though approached so simply, all the stories in D-Topia felt incredibly real and human, some of them really tugging at my heartstrings and almost making me tear up. The characters are all likable yet complex, allowing you to feel multiple ways about them - but above all will be the need to see them happy. Even ones I didn't think I'd gain an interest in were fascinating once I got to know them, and once I heard what they had to say. I also went into this game somewhat wary of the story it was trying to tell: about a utopia that is overseen by a godlike Artificial Intelligence. With how sensitive the topic is nowadays, I was uncertain which direction the game would go, and what kind of message it would have, but I was actually really happy with what the game had to say - and I encourage people to go into it blind. I have so far only played what I'm assuming is the good route (or as the achievement refers to it, "happy ending"), but I can say that it truly focuses on the important parts of the topic, and the philosophy it shares is one that made me walk away from the game with a happier, more understanding, and more accepting outlook on our potentially bleak and worrisome future. When it comes to gameplay, it probably isn't for everyone - sure. That's true for any game. And this game is definitely a walking simulator, where most of what you're doing is interacting with objects and reading, with the occasional bouts of puzzles. But I think even within its niche, D-Topia really does stand out. Unlike the other games that typically fall in this category, D-Topia truly does to me feel like a "cozy" game. Games like farming simulators and the like I feel are rarely truly cozy - they're usually so stressful in my opinion, and full of tasks that take up a lot of initiative, momentum, and mental workload (like working hard to design or decorate an island or farm). D-Topia to me is very different. Its focus is none of those things, yet it truly does feel relaxing to play, like it's forcing you to slow down and experience it for what it is. It's a game design philosophy that is really refreshing to see nowadays, especially when everything is trying to grab your attention or maximize replayability, or just be "number go up". D-Topia feels like exactly what I'd expect an "indie" game to be like and feel like - a narrative, somewhat cinematic experience that isn't trying too hard to be something bigger than what it is: a simple game meant to bring about joy.
SO fun i completely lost track of time. few things i wish for: ability to change color of your home, being able to use the things in the room (ie the music player,) the ability to pet Osushi, and maybe mild Customization of Shiro (nothing crazy, i like how he's kinda his own guy, yk?)
Dtopia is a amazing experience of a game, the vibe and music are relaxing and you quickly feel part of the world, the topic the game covered are deep and interesting and has without a doubt some of the best writing i have been in a long time in any game, cannot recommend this game enough but be warned the topics can be very real and hit hard, a few times it left me and my partner getting into deeper philosophical conversation on morality
A delightful game with many deep questions and an interesting setting. It didn't seem too difficult to achieve the good ending. Just be aware there is also a bad ending and a normal ending, if you want to avoid those. The puzzles are fun, too!
