Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 22 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Cursed Companions is a co-op horror game that responds to every word the players say. Every player is cursed with a forbidden word, like "Okay" or "I think". If anyone says it, the player takes damage.

When you say the right words, you can heal your friends or disarm traps.
"Mommy loves you... I'm sorry, I'm sorry... IT'S IN THE BOOK! IT'S IN THE BOOK!" - MichiMochievee
But when you say the wrong words (i.e. "Follow me!") you could wipe out your team.

Dungeons are randomly generated, every run is a brand-new experience.

Over twenty different monsters to encounter and "befriend".
"[The Foul Moth] kinda looks like a Labubu." - QuarterJade.
Watch your mouth! The Foul Moth punishes players who swear.
Roast or get roasted! Shout "Who's your Daddy!" to send the Meatgrinder packing!
Scare The Bride away! Bad pickup lines and awkward confessions are your best defense!

Team up and tackle a variety of co-op modes. Battle bosses in two standalone stages or dive into tougher dungeons in Challenge Mode. Push your limits in Endless Mode to see how long you can survive.

Monsters aren’t the real threat in Traitor Mode; your so-called friends are. It’s a chaotic social deduction mode where Traitors secretly sabotage the mission.
But don’t be too obvious as others can call an "Emergency Meeting" to vote you out!
Unlock unique skins as rewards for your greatest achievements! Kill bosses, survive brutal challenges, or simply get killed in unique circumstances.
“Oh that’s nice… I can be a knight!” - Foolish

Customize your home and let your friends see how cursed your taste really is!

Reviews
The premise of this game is fantastic, its got great potential. I just wish I could have enjoyed it more. It is very buggy and laggy at points. The other elephant in the room is for a game that requires voice as its soul selling point, it picks up you saying the forbidden words when you aren't saying them. Unless you shout and speak slow it wont pick up what you are saying, even if your companions can hear you clearly the game mechanic doesn't. Its just a shame.
The voice recognition just couldn't handle non-American accents, for a start. Every little problem just cascaded into a frustrating, unresponsive situation that left me genuinely exhausted to deal with. I think the concept has legs, but it needs to be handled way, way differently.

Eh, I think this needs a lot of work to be a good game... The creatures are so incredibly unbalanced it kinda defeats the purpose of the words
Very buggy with connection issues but overall the game itself is hilarious once you figure out what's going on. One of the funniest co-ops I've played with friends in a while
I hate giving a bad review, especially since it seems like the devs care about this game, but I don't really think this game is very great. It feels kinda broken, kinda incomplete, kinda unbalanced, kinda lackluster. I only have two hours in the game, which might be too little to give a review that gives justice to the game, but after those two hours, I honestly didn't feel like going back again. It left a bad taste in the back of my mouth, and it lingers. There are other friendslop games that are way better than this. I'd go for one of those. Sorry.
Cursed Companions is a cooperative horror adventure that turns one of the most ordinary aspects of multiplayer gaming into its defining feature. Developed and published by Crimson Forge Studios, the game revolves around voice communication, but with a clever twist that constantly keeps players on edge. Every participant is assigned a secret cursed word, and speaking it causes damage, making even the simplest conversations risky. This unique mechanic transforms routine teamwork into a constant balancing act where every sentence must be carefully considered. Rather than relying solely on jump scares or combat to create suspense, the game generates tension through player interaction, making every session feel unpredictable and full of memorable moments. The game's procedurally generated dungeons provide a strong foundation for replayability, ensuring that each expedition presents new environments, layouts, and dangers. Exploration is more than simply searching for treasure or avoiding monsters, as players must use their voices to activate spells, illuminate dark corridors, disable traps, solve environmental puzzles, and support teammates. At the same time, careless speech can trigger hidden threats or accidentally injure allies, forcing everyone to communicate creatively under pressure. This innovative blend of voice recognition and cooperative gameplay encourages teams to develop unconventional strategies while creating plenty of humorous situations that naturally emerge from the game's unusual rules. One of the game's greatest strengths lies in its diverse selection of supernatural enemies. Instead of following familiar horror game formulas, many creatures react differently depending on what players say or how they behave. Certain monsters may respond to profanity, while others are influenced by specific phrases or verbal interactions, requiring players to learn each enemy's quirks through experimentation. This design keeps encounters engaging because defeating threats often depends as much on communication as it does on skill. A variety of magical items and equipment further expands tactical possibilities, giving players tools for offense, defense, mobility, and support while complementing the game's emphasis on teamwork. Beyond its standard cooperative dungeon runs, Cursed Companions includes multiple gameplay modes that add even more variety. Boss battles introduce larger-scale challenges that demand coordination, while Endless Mode pushes players to survive increasingly difficult encounters for as long as possible. The addition of Traitor Mode brings an entertaining social deduction element, allowing one or more players to secretly work against the group while pretending to cooperate. Combined with emergency discussions and player voting, these mechanics create entertaining scenarios where deception and suspicion become just as important as survival. Unlockable cosmetics, achievements, and home customization systems provide meaningful progression that encourages players to continue exploring everything the game has to offer. The visual presentation embraces a stylized art direction that blends spooky environments with a lighthearted sense of humor, allowing frightening moments and comedic situations to coexist naturally. The atmosphere benefits greatly from the game's sound design, as voice recognition is central to nearly every mechanic. When everything works smoothly, speaking commands and reacting naturally with friends creates an immersive experience unlike most cooperative horror games. However, the heavy dependence on microphones and accurate speech recognition also means that technical inconsistencies or communication issues can occasionally interrupt the flow of gameplay. These limitations are understandable given the ambitious concept, but they remain factors players should consider before jumping in. Cursed Companions stands out because it fully commits to an original gameplay idea and builds every aspect of its design around it. By making communication both the players' greatest strength and their biggest weakness, it delivers an experience that constantly produces laughter, tension, and unexpected stories. Its combination of procedural exploration, creative monster mechanics, varied game modes, and cooperative problem-solving gives it excellent replay value for groups looking for something different from traditional horror titles. Although its reliance on voice recognition may not appeal to everyone, those willing to embrace its unconventional design will find a remarkably inventive multiplayer experience that rewards teamwork, quick thinking, and adaptability. Rating: 8/10
Game feels too incomplete. Very much revolves around its gimmick and doesn't think of much else.
the game is nothing like the screen shots the ui is not the best
Very poorly optimised and the game is incredibly buggy. UI gets stuck on screen, Camera bugs out and doesnt turn, the words/phrases trigger even if you dont say the phrase or the opposite happens and doesn't trigger even though the game clearly picks it up (Displayed in the subtitles).
Everything is updated and i have more than the recommended requirements but SOMEHOW every time I go through the portal my pc dies? While in or out the castle... I tried playing with my friends and crashed about 10x. Like the idea but don't like the issues I'm having to deal with.
