For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recommended but with caveats. If you haven’t played Hades, Hades 2 or even “Cult of the Lamb” I’ll recommend you play those first. It’s not that great but better than good, a solid 7 to 7.5. This game is pure combat, mechanics are super smooths, and parrying makes combat a little spicy. But there is no real story or mystery, so there isn’t much incentive to start another run or beat the game which is where I could see people getting turned off from it. Compared to the Hades, Curse of the Dead Gods is more difficult but doable if you’ve beat Hades with like 10+ heat.
Verdict: Really well done action roguelike with Aztec theme. With little polish and boss variety, it could have been great. + Positives + + Steam trading cards (3 drop, 5 to make a badge) + Steam achievements (30, multiple playthroughs required) + A lot of meta-upgrades + 12 different weapon types in 3 categories + Tons and tons of relics + Love the risk/reward system (blood or gold payments) + 21 blessings to pick from (you pick 3 per run) + Light (less rewards and incoming damage) vs Dark style + A lot of curses and majority have both a positive and negative side + Love the music + Really clean graphic style + Killing the bosses feels really good and rewarding + Daily runs + Pretty great combat system + Dodging and parrying feels responsive – Negatives – - It needed better boss variety - Game breaking bugs (you can be pushed out of the arena by enemies) - Terrible save system (only at the start of a room, crash means starting over with zero gains) - Basically no story - Runs feel the same as there is little to no variety - No voice acting or narration - Traps can get really frustrating
Setting? System walki?
Just didn't feel fun with the current pacing and scaling. Sometimes dodges wouldn't trigger when I still had stamina. I think if the developer would make some minor tweaks with damage it could make the game play better.
It has some fun and interesting ideas, but most of its core systems just aren't well designed
The positives: cool atmosphere and artstyle, you truly feel like a tomb raider. The combat is butter-smooth (which is why I played for as long as I did), the light-dark mechanic, the ever-present Curse as a double-edged sword, which is a resource and a threat at the same time you have to manage, constantly striking tradeoffs with it is interesting and quite gripping, for a time. However, almost everything else ranges from mid to negative. The games fun factor nosedives in the midgame after you defeat the tier 2 bosses, reaching tier 3 is a boring grind (never mind re-running if you failed). You kill the same monsters over and over again, but with more HP as you climb the ranks, run the same rooms with the same traps, with nothing really fresh inbetween (like story/quests/events etc) to shake up the gameplay loop. And the bosses just aren't fun or well-designed. Some weapons are busted, most just arent worth using, and unlocking them is a grind. You get a mainhand/offhand weapon and a 2h, but the best strat is to just upgrade one weapon and trying to build your upgrades and relics around it (and pray to RNGesus you get the relics you need). There are very few synergies worth using between even mainhand-offhand weapons where you actively use all your 2-3 weapons (not just using them as a combo trigger). Parry timings felt really unfair most of the time, consistently getting it right is virtually impossible, especially with limited visibility/visual clutter. The roguelite upgrade elements didn't feel inpactful and interesing, except maybe the weapon/relic rerolls which allows you to bend the RNG to your will a bit.
All in all, the game has many flaws, but there is some real fun here in first ~10ish hours. (til tier2 bosses)
So if you want a game thats fun, fresh and exciting from start to finish, I wouldn't recommend. If you are OK with likely dropping it when the game inevitably stops being fun, maybe give it a try.
