The main screen welcomes you with six images, each providing quick access to its own stage. Every stage is beautifully illustrated with vibrant colors, and although the scenes are small enough to fit on a single screen, they still show enough detail. There’s also a zoom feature if you want a closer look, though it doesn’t let you zoom in as much as you might expect. With the game's title making the genre pretty obvious, there aren’t many surprises here. Your goal is to search each scene for hidden objects by clicking on them with your mouse. Every stage contains only three different items to find, but each one appears dozens of times, usually somewhere around 40 copies. Most of the hidden objects are animals that naturally fit the environment, mainly insects and frogs, although you’ll occasionally search for everyday items, such as candies in the patio stage. Sometimes one or more of the listed objects is replaced with a question mark. The mystery item is revealed as soon as you find the first one, but this rarely causes any trouble because the most common creature or object in the scene usually stands out before long. The small size of the scenes actually works in the game's favor. Many of the animals blend into the colorful backgrounds remarkably well, often matching their surroundings or peeking out from behind objects with only a tiny part visible. Those little beetles can be especially sneaky. Zooming in as far as possible and carefully scanning the screen from one side to the other is easily the best approach. If you still get stuck, whether it’s on a particularly well-hidden critter or that one last object that refuses to show itself after several passes through the scene, you can always use a hint that has to recharge after each use. The scenes themselves are mostly static, with only one or two simple animations and a few hidden ones that appear after clicking certain objects, like the wolf in the desert stage. The most noticeable movement comes from bees buzzing around the screen. Click on one by mistake and you’ll get stung, temporarily losing the ability to collect objects. There’s also a timer, but it exists only to record your best score, so you’re free to take as much time as you need to finish each stage. If you pay close attention, you’ll spot a mouse hidden in every scene. Finding all six unlocks a small bonus stage that’s easy to complete. You’re free to revisit any stage before finishing it, but you can’t restart it until you complete it first. That becomes a little frustrating when going for the achievement that requires clearing every stage without clicking a single bee. If you accidentally get stung, you’ll have to finish the entire stage before you can try again.
