Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

Ni si quiera lo he terminado pero aquí esta mi reseña: Tienes que jugar esta joya
Cuphead is technically a run 'n gun and shoot 'em up. It has great controls, amazing art/design. While the game can be a tad frustrating, it isn't unfair. It just requires a bit of precision, patience and practice. That said, it also brings me little fun to play. I love run 'n guns, schumps are my favorite genre of video game. However, Cuphead's version of these are not my 'cup of tea'. Pun intended. The run 'n gun is more accurately an action platformer with shooting. With the shooting part mostly secondary until the boss fight. Certainly more Mega Man than Contra. Though stages are fairly short, and much of the time simply the boss fight. Nothing wrong with that, but I personally can't get over that I would rather play an actual run 'n gun like Gunstar Heroes instead. Which has everything Cuphead's run 'n gun has turned up to 11. The shump stages just make me sad. I very much prefer bullet hells, but I don't mind a classic 80s/early 90s STG either. Cuphead is very much more the classic version of a shoot 'em up. But minor enemies don't really matter other than potentially removing threats. There's no score and no power ups from shooting them, It can actually be better to wait and parry their bullet to build up your super attack. And your guns are peashooters the entire time. The run 'n gun or the shoot 'em up boss battles take too much time for me personally. I have been recently been playing classic Contra games, and I don't think any of the bosses in Contra or Super C were close to 30 seconds. Where as Cuphead bosses are usually over a minute. Even with multiple stages the bosses go through, I find my mind wander and lose focus. I'm a little bored trying to keep precise control of the character to actually knock them out. This boredom leads to some sloppy play on my part as well as disinterest in playing the game. I get these are nitpicks and personal issues. However, despite how beautiful the art, clever the mechanics are and solid the controls are I find myself wanting to play other games close to what Cuphead does but much tighter. Things like Metal Slug, Gunstar Heroes or even one of the NES Mega Man games for run 'n gun. And Gradius, R-Type or Darius. I'm glad Cuphead for a short time introduced new players to classic video game genres. Maybe with me already playing a ton of them, I already have a knowledge of just what sort I like and don't like. Certainly the hype around this game didn't help. But I hope to keep enough interest in playing it to beat it, but I don't know. I just don't find it particularly fun.
