Cube Gothic

it was fun but damn is wacky, the difficulty is weird is not really hard bc of the infinite tries but is not easy either, overall i liked it.

A unique 2D shooter game with cool art style. The difficulty is a little bit hard, and some puzzle is hard to solve,not to mention you have to dodge the bullet in the same time. Still, I think it's a fun game. Music and art book is free on developer's blog, which is quite nice.

Cube Gothic is, for the most part, a SHMUP. It's demanding but not overly hard IF you are into the genre. If you are not then you may have a hard time progressing. You have infinite lives, so some old school stubbornness and memorization will help you get through some parts. It's also sprinkled with some puzzles and a little action/platforming(just one boss is fought this way). The story is intriguing, with very loose nods to old Castlevania titles. The art style is dark and creepy. Reminds me a little bit of Giger. It has great music and a beautifully dark atmosphere. It's not for everyone. That's for sure! But if you are into videogames as an art form AND you have some SHMUP skill, then I would easily recommend to give it a try.
