I don't think this game is so bad that it deserves that many negative reviews. Gotta give some credit to the dev team and rate it fairly. To me it's solid and fun enough, a more lightweight and approachable version compared to poe2 plenty of fun for what it is. There are still limitations and some minor bugs, but overall it's still in development, so i say give this game a chance and respect the effort of the people making it. the disconnect issues are pretty much completely fixed now.

this ♥♥♥♥ is sick ass hell greate game Luvvvvvvit
If you like slower paced poe2 style gameplay then this game can cure the itch. Its a decent enough game but for me the store is broken, other than that I enjoy the game.

Crystalfall is a free online Action RPG where your ground loot matters and your skills offer endless procedural customization. Playing this feels like pain in every aspect. The setting is good, but this is not a story game, it's about mechanics and they really suck. May be later something will change... This is what happens when a game developer asks themselves: "How can we make the worst ARPG of all time?" I was unfortunate enough to select the mage class, which was a torturous experience as I had to spam the wimpiest fireball spell of all time for the entirety of Act 1 while trudging through monotonous and boring areas with the appearance of grey sludge and nothing of interest to find. I dropped a neat Shotgun skill and decided to reroll to the Ranger class, but to my dismay the developers actually managed to create a shotgun that feels bad to shoot. A shotgun! That feels bad to use! How?! Crystalfall is truly a masterclass in horrific game design decisions. I'd recommend it if you enjoy torturing yourself. I am copying my review from the Demo to the now "Early Access" version of the game for visibility, and adding some additional feedback based on the state of Early Access. ==========Original review follows========== { {This was responded to by a dev, no need to reply to this again}} Summary - This game needs a lot of time to cook, but there is some potential here; Though given the 'available' listed is March of this year I don't have high hopes or expectations. --- Negatives: The combat is stiff and feels like it's from 15 or more years ago; Animation locks are everywhere, character movement is slow. "Identify" and "Portal" items that serve to only take up inventory space No WASD in a game that feels very clearly tailored to 8 axis play Awkward world interaction when using the 'default' move/attack left click bind, and even worse interaction (somehow) when using the only move option RNG Skill augmentation trees Skills can have Rarity and modifiers Items 'feel' bland and largely uninteresting Positives: Direct slotting skills to the action bar The actual socketables are largely interesting The passive tree has a lot to discover The skills themselves are what you would expect and varied enough to keep things interesting Neutral: Everything is one big brown mess Music that evokes older ARPG titles Character designs while not unique are well executed --- This is 2026, the ARPG audience has matured quite a lot and there are a lot of QOL things players tend to expect. ====================================== ==========New feedback========== First, and absolutely foremost: There is DARK PATTERN MTX Pricing. What this means is that MTX items cost 150, or 330 but points are sold in packs of 100 or 200 for $10 and $20 USD respectively. This means you will _NEVER_ be able to but the exact amount needed for any given MTX. This is shady as all hell and has absolutely NO PLACE in a modern indie title. Second, the game has MTX before a) Full release and b) any real content. Third, and finally in this segment: The supporter packs. I get it, you want to offer players a way to support your free to play game. That's fine, and I have absolutely no qualms with this. Many games do it. However, you have $1450 spread over various packs from an untested studio. 5, 10, 15, and 30 dollar packs are where you should focus. Make no mistake: I have ZERO problems with MTX in Free to play games; Everyone needs to eat and servers cost money after all. However, MTX should NEVER be the first consideration and should Never use Dark Pattern pricing structures. ====================================== My final thoughts as I will not be returning. IF you do have interest is this and IF you want to play it - I wish you luck because I suspect the team behind this while originally well intentioned fell into the trap that Mobile game developers often do of "Monetize, Monetize, Monetize"
I agree that it is a little rough, But I think for early Access most people are being too harsh and expecting a finished game This is not that obviously. Given time this game could good like many any other.
