About
"This fortress is our home. We will not let the enemy shatter it."
— Captain Phoebe of the Crystal Guard
You take control of Phoebe - fierce warrior, skilled archer, resourceful engineer and fearless commander of the Crystal Guard. Summon powerful soldiers and snipers, mount defensive turrets on the battlefield and get to the frontlines — whatever it takes to leave the fortress intact.
Units recover a limited number of action points (APs) per turn, requiring careful planning. Should you act aggressively with your current points to approach and attack the enemy, or stay put and defend to recover additional points while letting them get closer to the fortress? But beware: enemy units can act the same way!
In this game, you only control the main character. After you make your move with Phoebe, all ally units take their action simultaneously, followed by all enemy units at once, resulting in a very fluid and quick passage of turns!
Spend your gold between battles to power-up each of your units, increasing their Max HP, Max AP and AP Recovery, Damage, among others. Be prepared, for the enemy waves will grow relentlessly.

Experience stage progression divided into chapters, providing different environments to play as the Crystal Guard shifts their defensive efforts to each of the four gates.

Jogo perfeito, você pega rápido a jogabilidade mas quebra a cabeça a cada dificuldade pra otimizar uma estratégia de acordo com os obstáculos. Quando percebi, já era 2h da manhã e eu precisava avançar só mais um nível... Vale a pena, recomendo demais!
I played this game on stream. A link to the VOD will be at the bottom of my review. Overall, I like the idea of combining these 2 genres together, but I feel like the execution wasn't entirely well thought out. While the game isn't bad, it also isn't really good. After the first world, the game starts to feel quite slow and becomes very predictable and repetitive. My overall summary really also has most of my thoughts on the game. There really isn't much else to say. I wish the game focused more on an RPG system, like what if the player could build the character in different ways to meet their playstyle? Maybe one build focuses on building towers, another build focuses on empowering the fortress, and another build focuses on buffing the player character. I feel like that would have been pretty cool. But here, you get pretty linear skill trees that *some* focusing can be done, but for the most part you'll wind up needing to upgrade one skill tree in order to benefit another skill tree, which sort of winds up in a fairly lock-step progression through the skill tree rather than being able to focus one way or the other. I suppose the best part of the game is that it seems pretty well polished and can provide some good entertainment if you just needed to kill a few minutes of time (like this would do way better as a mobile game or played on a handheld device). With a cheap price, I guess it's fine. I feel like the developer could make something far more interesting if they had higher ambitions, but overall it's just a pretty simple game that might be fun for a moment, but will be quickly forgotten with time. It's a soft recommend only because there isn't a "meh" rating on Steam. You can watch my first impressions with the game at the link below: https://youtube.com/live/AGkVa1s_Qy4?feature=share

It was worth $5 to me. I enjoyed it and finished in under three hours.
It's a good little game, the concept of mixing turn-based strategy + Tower Defense + a bit of RogueLike is well thought out, for the price I recommend it, the campaign lasts about 2.5 hours but there is replayability with the upgrades. Hopefully this is the basis for a more ambitious sequel!
5/10. There are some good ideas, but feels like there isn't enough gameplay for the number of levels there are. The hero unit feels underpowered. It's dangerous to fight enemies head on, as a few simultaneous hits from a group of enemies will kill you. It's also much more efficient to spawn units than to spend energy to fight yourself, which devolves into a boring loop of spawn one unit, end turn, repeat. This starts being apparent by the time you get to the icy biome. Maybe separating unit spawning energy from hero energy could have been a good solution to encourage spawning and fighting. I wish there were spells to use on the battlefield, or there were at least no limits to how you spend your energy. Some examples: 1. Spawn soldier, walk, then shoot arrow. 2. Walk as much as you want as long as you have energy, in order to get to the pesky mages. Otherwise, there is really no way to deal with them before they get close to your defences. A few nitpicks: 1. Enemy blizzard spell animation takes too long, locking you out of doing anything. 2. You run out of things to spend gold on before the game ends, even without repeating levels.
Recomendo!
