Reviews
Ask yourself, "Would I enjoy playing through Resident Evil (the first one) in current day," and use that to inform yourself if you would enjoy Crow Country. Crow Country unapologetically aims to recreate N64/PS1/Dreamcast era horror games, where the jank is part of the nostalgia. I dropped after 2-3hrs. Beyond the retro aesthetic, there were just a lot of things that made me go, "Welp, that was dumb." - Apparently there was a scandal at the Crow Country amusement park two years ago that was widespread enough to be in the newspapers, yet for some reason I, a young girl two years later, am the first to investigate it? - It's just that style of game, but the quasi-metroidvania style where you start the game and 90% of doors are locked. You have to go around essentially getting the key for door 1 so you can get the key for door 2 so you can get the key for door 3. - You know what would be fun and interactive gameplay? If we put random bear traps laid out across the floor everywhere across the park, so while the player is backtracking over and over again, you have to avoid the bear traps. High effort, well thought out gameplay. - For most of the enemies, the correct play is to just completely ignore them. - The previous point is almost a positive, because the combat is doodoo as a retro feature. No moving while aiming. - Camera angle is un-adjustable, so half the time a baddie is right in front of your character, but you can't actually see them until they're 10ft away. - You found the shotgun, and have amassed a paltry 8 shells from all across the park. Congratulations! Immediately starts spawning normal bad guys who take 4 shells to kill. - Not exaggerating, there is a door with a crank which takes 30 seconds to open. The door is a bunch of spikes that you slowly open to either side. Then when you go through the door, they spring back a little and hit you. That was dumb. - There's a mysterious room with a box in the middle. There's a small grate, and you say you can hear something breathing in there, but can't see it. Later when you backtrack through the room, the box bursts open. SURPRISE! It's a monster! That's it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ignore my play time, I finished the game with an A rank but Steam didn't track my time played for some reason? --- The Bad --- The main character, who you are supposed to sympathize with, is a privileged white girl who believes the rules apply to everyone except for her and launches a crusade to blame everyone else for her actions. No ones life is too important to spare as you willingly put everyone at risk if it means achieving your own self centered goals as you pursue a terminally ill dying man to pin all of your shame and debt upon. You will experience a never ending barrage of aggravating enemies and randomly spawning traps while you ignorantly press forward like the Karen of Justice that you were born to be. Don't have too much fun though because you will need some of that energy for when you burn every last brain cell you have left trying to solve the most ASININE and INANE puzzles you have ever seen. If you were hoping that a good story would hard carry you through this games never ending tedium and frustrations then do I have bad news for you. The story is told through a mountain of fluffed exposition managing to turn a single sentence into 3 pages of backstory you never asked for. Don't worry though because in the interest of being vague and mysterious you won't actually get any "real" story until you are at the final 15 minutes of the game. --- The Good --- The game is built very well in terms of capturing an older over the shoulder shooter kind of feel. Think of Resident Evil 4 Original. The gunplay and movement feels a little floaty but so did gameplay mechanics back in the day so it really lends to the overall feel they were trying to capture. The game itself was also just built very well. At no point did I experience anything like glitches, bugs, lag, or stuttering. Overall the entire experience just worked and I encountered no problems. The foley sound design is remarkable with certain sounds transporting me back to playing things like Resident Evil 1 Remake or Silent Hill 2. Walking on the metal floor in the control room really took me back in time. The inventory system although definitely not very advanced was really seamless and just worked right out of the box. There's no complicated organization or storing things you just have what you have ready to go. I loved the atmosphere shifts as you progress through the game going from foggy like being in Silent Hill to a dark and stormy night to just plain dark. It really helped accentuate that as you progress so is time while also giving a creepier vibe to what might be going bump in the night.
10/10 amazing
great old school horror game
This is so good that the only thing I can wish for is more of it.
Can't wait for Condor Country: Revelations
A great little survival horror game.
Valeu demais jogar.
