Crimson Moon is the absolute premier digital masochism simulator on the market for twenty dollars. It is a game that aggressively hates you, yet begs you to love it, and somehow, for the price of a mediocre fast-food meal, you actually do. For twenty bucks, Crimson Moon punches way above its weight class. It treats your hard-earned loot like a tax collector on a power trip, its mechanics will occasionally make you want to chew on your controller, but the sheer joy of the combat loop keeps you coming back for more. It’s flawed, it’s frustrating, and it is a total steal. Buy it.

Don't listen to the negative reviews, it's a $20 game and its a lot of fun for what it is. Definitely recommend playing with a friend though!
Game is playable. Excited to see what build possibilities there are as I progress further, as my first impressions are there is enough depth there to try a lot of stuff out, but I gotta sleep now. Keen to dive back into it. Performance is good on my rig. Bit of jank here and there but I'm going into it with my Fromsoft muscle memory. After 30 minutes I got the hang of it. My only gripe is the artstyle is very saturated, but I knew that going in and it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I just stare at screens a lot so it tires my eyes out a bit. The camera is a bit jank, but its not ruining my experience. Also having to go claw grip to sprint and look around at the same time is just one of those muscle memory things but I would like to see some camera following the movement of the character at least during sprint to alleviate that. Targeting feels a bit off. Again, muscle memory from Fromsoft games. I expect it to act a certain way but then it doesn't and I get thrown off. Probably a lot of the negative feedback relates to this expectation. Being in game dev myself (live service to boot) I can see how a game might release in this state. Lots of reasons for needing to release. Looking at the pedigree of this studio I am quite certain the reason isn't that the devs are inept. I am sure the devs understand what needs adjusting and are extremely busy right now, so god speed to you all. And if there are any greenies on the team... Welcome to the biz :KEKW:
First of all, I can see the complaints about game not supporting keybind changes and a FOV-Slider but the given key layout is totally fine. If you dont have any malformed hands it is totally fine. Weapons have impact on use, you can feel the ooompf when hitting enemies. When you think weapons are slow, try light attacks with sword and shield..... There is a very nice variety of weapon arts to combine armor boons with, some nice combos to create there. Game runs totally fine and yes widescreen works without a problem (3440x1440). No bugs so far. Haven't tried Coop yet so no opinion towards that mode. For 20$ that game is a steal. I can fully recommend this game for fans of roguelite/elden ring-lite fans.
so Far a very awesome game would like to see a bigger parry window or i just suck at the game BUT still an awesome game and would like to see legendary upgrade available in the armory along with better optimization its really good for being only 12 days old Especially from the Hotfix patch on September 11th lol but i get bottomed out at barely 70 fps at native 4K (3840x2160) using all the frame boost and G-sync i can to get the frames up without frame gen probably would help if i didn't have everything cranked but oh well
Just started playing Crimson Moon (90 minutes in) and so far, I am enjoying the game. The graphics are very pleasing to the eyes and I just enjoy the fighting animations. :)
This game can be SO GOOD. The fundamentals of the game are amazing, gameplay is satisfying and fun, loot has some variety. The game in its current state is extremely glitchy and buggy and hard to recommend until they are, but dont shy away from it from all the negative reviews, the game is really good. Solo play has been mostly free of bugs, but when you try to play with a friend? Good luck. You lose gear randomly, the person who isn't host will just randomly have 0 flasks for the next mission, non host player also has a very laggy experience to the point of almost being unplayable. Also, can we switch gear mid run?? What a bizarre choice to not be able to switch up a build mid run. PLEASE DEVS DONT LET THIS GAME DIE it can be so good with fixing the bugs and supporting it with updates.
Bem, simples e honesto..
