I wish this rating system would let me put a middling rating rather than just a thumbs up or down.If you love cricket then I would just about recommend the game because, to be honest, you don't have any other options. However if you just have a passing interest then I would advise you to stay away.The good things are the work the community put into this game to make every real stadium, team, player and umpire available giving an entire cricket world. Gameplay is good and I've never had any qualms about it, think it's pretty easy to pick up and play. I also really enjoy the career mode, it something I dreamed of for a long time and even though there are a few things I would like expanded it's still thrilling when you make your debut for your county or national team etcMy major bugbears are how badly optimised the game is, graphics bugging out and loading in stages just really take you out of the game. Another issue is how one of its major strengths which is the ability to download community assets becomes so frustrating that it would be easy to put you off all together. The only way I can get it to work is to have to go through individually and download each individual team, then the stadium they play in, took me hours.I originally owned the Xbox game which was bordering on the unplayable so I purchased the pc game instead recently expecting it to be a better experience and really wanting to enjoy this game and I do to a point but you really have to want to play a cricket game to make this worthwhile.Also, this game obnoxiously insists you are online when you play which if pushed is probably why I tipped towards a negative review.

It is a best cricket game I have ever played
Designed for controller but keyboard controls granted at the mercy of keyboard nubs. You cannot modify any keyboard controls as in game all is controller . With steam having mercy on us, they released a sheet for keyboard controls otherwise i would have been blindly pressing keys to try out the shots . In easy mode, batting is as easy as Cric 07. Bowler will mostly bowl on the 5th stump and every time you press D, BOOM ! It goes for a six. Eat, press D, hit six, sleep, repeat. Its that easy. Bowling in easy mode is also easy . The best of the batsman will struggle . With keyboard controls, placement is limited to only 6 fixed directions and in easy mode, the batsman does well to every time clear the fielders. Commentators. Well here's an example:- * You step out on front foot and hit a six * Commentator - "CRUNCH ! OFF THE BACK FOOT AND BANG ! GOES FOR SIX" * You step out on back foot and hit a six * Commentator - "CRUNCH ! OFF THE FRONT FOOT AND BANG ! GOES FOR SIX" You can guess the quality of commentry from this :) There is something called stamina so your batsman doesnt hit unlimited sixes. The career mode is pretty average. Just shifts from one match to another without much of a story or cutscenes. Gym is tough with keyboard controls. Fatigue management god knows what it does but it wastes good 4 days in one. Just keep hitting six, score 100s, 200s, be captain and ya thats all. Bugs - well sometimes my player's head would get bugged out and he would continue looking at one side like someone just fractured his neck. Nothing much exciting about the game except for Eng and Aus having nice proper reperesentation of real players except that Johnny Bairstow looked a little like suffering from Hunger disease
