Patch number 4 and I still can't launch the game without crashing. I've updated the drivers for the graphics card, chipset and BIOS. I've also done everything the developers have recommended in the forums. It just doesn't work.
It's just like Tropico. A micro managed nightmare that's never good enough no matter what you do. It forces you to act the way it wants you too, there's nothing lay back and chill about this game it's a constant crew problem that kills the game.
There is so much good about this game. The base bulding with the verticallity is so well done. It looks good and feels pretty balanced. But there some parts that are hard to look past. My main issue and the reason I will not stop playing is the encounters. I send my ship to an ecounter and just hate what I have to do when it gets there. The encounters look so much like a deck builder, but it is not even close. With the exact same cards and setup all the time, it gets sooooo boring. As long as you don't go for an encounter out of your league, the only chalenge is not using up your resources before the end of the encounter. Losing to a random encounter is also very punishing. For smaller ecounters a "choose one of two" or a "dice roll" would be much better; and for the main story ones it should be a deck builder (or similar) and perhaps gain new and better cards from encounters and shops on other islands. Or just completely rework it all.
Amazing game! Thanks to the developers for this game!

Very fun city builder. Love the world design and the management.
Avevo giocato la demo e ho comprato il gioco appena uscito: era dai tempi di Tropico 2 che non mi divertivo così a gestire un covo dei pirati!
