Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Playing Coromon on my Steam Deck on the couch brings me right back to when I used to play Pokemon on various Nintendo handhelds, and that is probably the biggest compliment I can give it. This is very clearly a Pokemon knock off and I think it succeeds. Of course all the Pokemon in this are new and things like Pokeballs have been renamed and it has it’s own story, but at the end of the day, this is Pokemon. At this point It’s been a while since I’ve played an official Pokemon game, so it’s hard for me to accurately compare the two directly, but I do feel this game is Pokemon. It does have less types and the Pokemon designs are less colourful than I would have liked, but it’s still Pokemon and it’s great to play it on PC. I do like TemTem better, but this feels a lot closer to what I remember Pokemon being. It is not 3d like the newer Poekmon games or TemTem, but it still looks great. When I started playing this a few years ago, I think I remember the game having a fair amount of stutters. However, after returning to check out the recent remaster update and finally finish the game, I can confidently say that in it’s current state, the game runs quite bad. It struggles to hit 45 FPS on my Steam Deck, often running at an unstable 40 FPS. This may be a Steam Deck / Proton issue as I have not tried it on my Desktop and it is still a playable experience, but it’s not a great experience and feels quite odd when it’s a 2D pixel art game. Fortunately, whatever is causing the poor performance does not seem to affect battery. I get similar battery life as I do in other 2d games. Coromon does have some nice QOL changes, like allowing you to change moves at any time outside of battle and giving you some reusable items / passives to reduce random Pokemon attacks. I also liked how you can customize your character, which I don’t think any of the 2d Pokemon games let you do. There’s a good variety of options that the game gives you, and you can find more as the game progresses. The game also lets you put skins on your Pokemon, which was neat, although not something I ever used. It did feel a bit like a system that would be used to sell microtransactions, but I’m pretty sure all skins were unlocked by in game activities or by the battle pass, which also appeared to be completely free. In terms of story and writing, it was interesting enough, although I did feel like the story ended rather suddenly. Rather than playing as a kid who wants to collect all the gym badges. You play as an adult Scientist who needs to defeat all the special Titan Pokemon. The game does have a bit of a weird difficulty curve where I’ll be twice the level of the enemies, destroying everything in 1-2 hits and suddenly I’ll have a boss that wipes or comes close to wiping my squad. Overall, Coromon is Pokemon, with most of the same pros and cons. If you want Pokemon on PC, this is the closest game I’ve played and I would be quite happy to see a sequel.

positive critical· bar length = how often the theme comes up
the light sensei jump test is genuinely ridiculous. i don't know if the speed of the bar is based on refresh rate or what but it's near impossible to get 22 jumps without literally pixel perfect timing. either the cooldown for the jump button is too long or i land on the bar at 7 or 15 jumps exactly this thing needs fixing, i saw footage from before the remaster and it was perfectly fine! easy even! why is it moving 2x faster in my game with no change to the character's movement?? the only way i could beat this was by going into my graphics drivers and limiting the fps to 30, why should i have to do this to continue the main story??? how did this escape testing???? please fix thank you (it's possible that changing the refresh rate had no change and i only won because i timed my jumps through sheer luck by mashing, but that's more of a monkeys on typewriters situation than what was actually being asked of the player so either way something's gone wrong)
Monster Capture game that has a more general and less "You're a 12 y/o" audience in mind. The monster designs are solid. I do think they skew a little too real world + basic animals that everyone knows (Cats, dogs, etc.) for all normal monster designs, but the designs themselves are really solid regardless. Options are a little lacking for screen size (in particular, being able to drag and stretch would've been really nice), but otherwise basics for regular stuff is there along with extras. There's minimal bugs I noticed. The starting area also has two Coromon that can either get more money from battles or get more money via extra items they find after any battle (Wild or other tamers), which is thoughtful design, considering there's not much post game and tamers/trainers aren't up for repeat battling. There's also little nods to those that like details like how someone who lost their Coromon in their spinners (pokeball equivalent) start with thier Coromon frozen. That being stated, however, I have a few caveats for this recommendation, depending on the type of player you are, since I do think that price per hour for enjoyment is crucial in the current economy: 1. If you're only going for a playthrough of the game (no extras or little post game), you're looking at a pretty steep price per hour, especially if you're not going to do some grinding. My hours look like this because I decided to grind the last bit for more money (stacking $$$ generation x6 and financially ruining tamers in the last section of the game) and for getting most Coromon + Potential farming (think of it like Pokemon IVs). 2. If you're playing for achievements, then this game has more justification for the price. Insane difficulty is built-in Nuzlocke rules, while allowing Perfect catches as well (Perfect = Shiny, which are equivalent in this case). Overall I do recommend this game, but entirely differently depending on who is playing. If you only care about getting through the story to experience it once, the price is less justified. If you care about achievements or monster capturing perfectly, then you're looking at a better price per hour justification.
This isn't going to be so much a review as it will be a little personal life story that made me like this game that much more. One of the Coromon within the game that you can catch and train is a kitty cat ghost type called a Purrgy. Well I ended up getting a perfect version of one and got to name it after my cat Loki who passed away about a year ago. Kept him on my team and swept trainer after trainer in battle. Made me smile to keep seeing him get all this experience then hit max level while we adventured about. Miss ya little guy, you've always been the best.
Was pretty fun until you get to an unskippable jumping rope mini-game that's extremely hard and completely out of place. This is the worst, bad, cheap game mechanic I've seen in recent play. I was having a good time catching Coromons and now I'm abandonning the game.
This is straight up better than pokemon. Much better ai, more interesting and difficult moves and battles, customization, puzzles, the grind to try to get potent/perfect coromon is insanely addicting, i could go on. I would say pokemon will always be a perfect rpg for 6 year olds but this will entertain you as an adult very well
If you like Pokemon, you'll almost certainly feel right at home here. The battles feel super lively with the gorgeous animated sprites, and the story is actually pretty solid! You can shiny hunt too, and the shiny Coromon (called "perfect" Coromon in-game) actually have better stats, so they aren't purely cosmetic. The one negative thing I will say about this game is that it has random encounters, which I personally don't like as much as overworld encounters. Fortunately you can speed up the battles in the settings, which gets rid of most of the annoyance that comes with that.
Was fun until the game interrupted gameplay with dumb minigames, puzzles and stuff that is just there to pad out the game.
