A roguelike tower defense game with a dash of deckbuilding. Choose a reward, improve your build, survive the next wave, repeat. Highly replayable, difficult, and addictive. You'll want just one more wave, just one more run!

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not quite what I look for in a TD, nor particularly engaging in terms of gameplay, design or aesthetics.
good idea
I didn't find it fun and other games have done this rogue-like tower defense mechanic better. https://youtu.be/X0Ymy_ycqH4

A solid tower defense game with simple but effective graphics, and several interesting takes on its types of towers. Never had a crash or other issues with it, so thumbs up from me.
Excellent replay value with the DLC - just consider it part of the overall cost and the total cost is worth it. Scratch your tower defense itch.
Core defense is a very unique tower defense! Along with picking from a solid variety of towers and abilities, this game gives you the unique ability to structure the map you're defending! The towers have good synergies and the runs are consistently fun, as well as becoming progressively more challenging as you reach higher difficulties. One downside to buying this game is that it's a bit incomplete without the DLC, but buying the bundle is only an extra $3.50 than getting just the base game and it's cheaper on sale. I recommend this game to achievement hunters and tower defense lovers!
10/10 (die ersten 15 stunden :D)
Barely worth the name "tower defense" and quite expensive for what it offers as wel. It can provide some simple casual fun I guess but there are many more better games.
Quick Description: -Core Defense is a tower defense game w/ some light deckbuilding elements. The game looks fine visually (slightly simplistic and looks a bit like a phone game) and is easy to understand. Any one can jump in and quickly have a fairly good idea of how the game works. I enjoyed my first 2ish hrs, but very quickly crashed into a wall around hr 3-4. It becomes very clear that this game is extremely limited in map variety and lacks any unique synergies involving the DB/TD. I wouldn't consider myself a diehard TD fan, but I've played my fair share over the years, but this is just not one I'm willing to recommend. Consensus: -Bottom Shelf Game (Tier 5 and makes up 10% of my reviews). I really wanted to like this game, but it's just not one I have any desire to ever play again. Maybe, if you can snag this game for a couple of bucks, I could see myself recommending it. There are just so many other excellent games in this genre that you can snag for under $10, so stick w/ those.
this game is so almost exactly what i want from a tower defence it has so much going for it but the flaws really bring it down if it removed a few things it could be a really good game namely the flying enemies and the active effects/turret The range on the shooting enemies can also be a problem and the fact you can't stop them shooting through the walls is poor design with a few changes i would love this game, but as it is any skill expression is ruined and the upgrade pool is diluted with crap i looked for mods to fix it but couldnt find any I wish this game was good
