this game at its released was a huge mess. bugs, untold tutorials, and so on. i remembered i was stuck in the tutorial not being able to advance. But, over the course of a few weeks, patches and updates are being released, and now it's playable. in fact, i realized there's more i can do, although it's still a little clunky sometimes. I have cooking simulator 1 and DLCs and i love them generally, (although sushi DLC is such a bummer) and i think CS2 for now is playable with significant less bugs. The tutorial is still slightly unclear with certain recipes, and i was slightly confused that i got free stuff after the tutorial (but i needed some of the equipment like a mixer for soup during the tutorial. I wish we can have a clear list of cooking equipment needed while shopping, besides the ingredients inventory) I havent even try this game on my ROG ally, since i have a feeling that playing on controller will be another nightmare.. But this game deserves a chance. i will wait for the time where my friends are confident enough to buy this game so i can play with them.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

After nearly 50 hours, I still cant recommend this game yet but it's getting pretty close. Playing on controller is still just a miserable experience, and the entire plating process needs to be fully reworked. I get stuck on ingredients during plating and cant get out, trying to cancel out forces me all the way out to where I have to state what I'm plating. Why do I have to tell the game what I'm plating in the first place? Here's a few things that would make playing with a controller significantly less frustrating. • The cursor should lightly snap to objects like ingredients as it's very easy to overshoot with the default look sensitivity. A small cooldown timer after a snap to event has occurred will prevent it from annoying users when there's several objects together to which the cursor could snap. • Once the cursor snaps to an object, if there are multiple objects on the cutting board/baking sheet/surface use L1 and R1 or up and down analog buttons to tab between these objects. Together this would mean you could quickly snap the cursor to a group of objects then tab to the specific one which could speed up interactions. • When the aiming reticule is touching any part of the timer, use the same L1/R1 or up/down to add/remove time from the timer and one of the face buttons (maybe O on the controller) for start/pause timer. It's very hard to hit the start timer button with controller when you're in a hurry but this would significantly improve that. • Streamline plating by removing the step where users tell you what they're plating; just use the plated ingredients as filters against your database. As users add ingredients to the staging area, in your DB organize the recipes by best match of ingredients and cooking methods. As these are placed on the plate you can further reorder this list as sauces and other items are added. Your top ranked result will be the most likely match and if there's a tie in the ranking, compare to the pinned or restaurant menu recipes. When the user picks up the plate you can simply display a final confirmation dialogue like, "RECIPENAME order up?" with options of Yes, No, Change Recipe; the third option letting users correct your guess as to what they plated. • Plating should use free look just like the rest of the game. Currently you have to tab between ingredient areas. All the tactile gameplay you established in every part of the game suddenly goes out the window during plating. Why an I pick up and place things just fine every other part of the game but when plating I drop ingredients from 100 feet in the air and just let them fall where they want? Why cant I just free look up at one of my herb plants and grab a leaf? Instead I have to hit B to leave the selected ingredient, B to leave the ingredients area, hit left several times to scroll over to the herb area, A to get into the herb area, press right a half dozen times to get to the plant I want, A to select the plant I want, and only then can I finally pick the leaf. WHY? You already had a system in the rest of the game for letting me look, pick up, place, interact with, etc. Instead of being one system used in different contexts it feels like gameplay from entirely different cooking games poorly smashed together. The game is close to being good but it desperately needs a real overhaul to make the gameplay elements consistent and coherent; particularly plating. It will take some work, but once it feels like one game instead of 3 or 4 different developer projects held together by duct tape and a contradictory control scheme it has the potential to be one of the best cooking games out there.
Honestly great game. much like CS1, but many mechanics are much smoother and its truly fun to play. if you enjoy cooking, this is a good buy. Notes: -Kitchens have reach in coolers, like under counters and whole refrigerated drawers for holding product. and walk in coolers and freezers that makes organization and holding easier. I hope they add this in a future release. -locking products behind level progression makes sense, but is frustrating when you really wanna make a bacon cheeseburger, but have to reach level 45 first. -new updates to the recipe ui are nice, but still needs more flushing out to make it clear what you can do. i still find myself spending 20+ minutes adjusting recipes. -more customization options :) ingredients CS2 doesnt have : avocado, tortilla, beans,...
Very enjoyable, some bugs which hopefully will be fixed but I think it's a good sequel

GREAT! Except the invite codes are 46 digits long lol just a little excessive
