Love it now am going dread weight sequel to play it

cute visual novel, i originally found out about this game through youtubers, will definitely be going back to 100% it

I tend to read alot of novels, it comes and goes from otome games to just straight up murdering people as this one. I really enjoyed the art style from this game and the confusing aspects, completely completing the game finally makes you understand who you are and why you do what you do, the slavic lore was amazing addition to this visual novel and im excited to delve even deeper into the games sequeal: dread weight.

En esta corta historia estaremos con nuestro grupo de amigos que llega a una cabaña en mitad del bosque. Nosotros, siendo un personaje sin nombre que apenas habla, seremos el cocinero del grupo. No voy a decir mucho salvo que…es un título raro cuanto menos: [u]-La historia es…extraña:[/u] te dedicas a cocinar para tus amigos, y en la misma cabaña conocerás a los “Chompettes”: unas verduras y un mendrugo de pan parlantes. Tras conocer toda la historia y creer entenderla…sigo sin saber a santo de qué era buena idea crear unos trozos de verdura que hablan, me saca mucho del juego. Además, cuando “supuestamente” terminas la historia empiezas el modo “Pesadilla” y, después de este, el “Nueva Partida +”, cosas que engañan ya que realmente no son tales, y la historia continúa. [u]-Es un juego de terror,[/u] así que podemos esperarnos ver caras o un arte grotesco y horrendo. Y dicho arte se compone de caras grotescas y feas, junto con varios puntos sutiles y muy positivos (te asomas por una ventana y ves algo semitransparente ocultarse entre los árboles mientras escuchas susurros). Como tal screamers hay pocos, y si los hay, normalmente el volumen no te penetra los tímpanos, lo cual es de agradecer. Pienso que la obra tiene varios problemas: una duración demasiado corta; ,los personajes son planos y muy tópicos y un “modo pesadilla y nueva partida +” que no lo son. Todo esto me hace pensar mucho en qué dirección quería llevar el creador este título. Os vais a encontrar una obra de terror experimental con muchas caras grotescas y muchos, muchos logros (80 para ser exactos). Trata diversos temas interesantes y el arte está bien trabajado. Por tanto, [b]recomiendo[/b] Cooking Companions a todo aquel que quiera leer una historia de terror, que le guste el factor de asustarse un poquito con alguna cara horrenda y que le guste hilar conceptos de una historia extraña y curiosa. [ENG] [h2]A Bizarre and Short Horror Game[/h2] Cooking Companions is a short horror visual novel covered with a ‘cute’ art and environment which are taken away after twenty minutes playing. In this short story we’ll be with our group of friends who find a cabin in the woods. We, as a nameless almost silent character, will cook for our friends. I’m not going to say much, apart from the fact that this is…a strange title at least: [u]-A bizarre story:[/u] you basically cook for your friends, and you’ll meet the ‘Chompettes’ in the cabin: some talking vegetables and a crust of bread. After knowing the story and completing the game…I still don’t know why the creator put characters like these in the game, they don’t make much sense and they kill the mood with their childish Japanese voices. Another thing is the fact that, when you ‘supposedly’ complete the game you’ll begin ‘Nightmare Mode’ and then ‘New Game+’, but they are not really modes, the story just continues. [u]-It’s a horror game,[/u] so we’ll expect to watch horror art. And said art consists of ugly and horrendous faces, alongside some very positive points in the game (when you look from a window and you can see something semi-transparent hiding behind a tree, for example). There are some screamers, as they are called, but when you find them, you won’t become deaf by listening to a loud scary sound. I thank the developer for not succumbing to cheap horror. I think this work has many problems: a too-short duration, the characters are plain and very typical, and some new ‘game modes’ that aren’t such. All of this makes me wonder about what the director wanted to do with this game. You’re going to find an experimental horror video game with many scary faces and many, many achievements (80, to be precise). It talks about one or two interesting topics for a horror game and the artwork is good. All in all, I [b]recommend[/b] Cooking Companions to everyone who wishes to read a horror story, who likes the ‘getting scared’ feeling with some faces and horror art, and who likes to think about what the story is telling them.

Such a heartfelt and peaceful story with friendly characters all living together inside of a cabin. Oh to have such a life
