The mysterious force found you to sign a contract because of your potential, hoping that you will perform the Swarm hunting mission and provide the power of the contract to help you become stronger. You can increase basic attributes through the power of the contract, or you can purchase props, skills, ammunition, etc. through the contract points to improve your combat effectiveness.
That's right—you pilot a Chariot! A majestic chariot always gives us more security. Fill your equipment slots with weapons and items and pour your firepower onto the enemy!
One point to note: our game demands more focus on build strategy. You'll need to figure out the best combinations within limited gear slots to ensure the most comfortable combat experience.

To enhance strategic depth, we've added a Route Map mechanic. You can choose paths rich with Elites, challenging higher difficulty for better economy; or you can opt for routes with more Encounters and Treasures, reducing combat difficulty while relying on luck to gain more resources.

Besides directly purchasing higher-tier items, you can also synthesize new gear by consuming 2 to 4 lower-tier items! Furthermore, you can use Mutated Runes for a chance to transform low-level items directly into higher-tier ones through luck!

Through smart combinations, you can craft devastating, infinitely powerful builds, such as the Endless Lightning Ball Stream!

Contract of Swarm Hunter, developed and published by ZYI Game, is a compact yet surprisingly layered action-roguelite that blends fast-paced combat, build experimentation, and strategic route planning into a single loop. It begins with a simple premise: as a newly contracted hunter, you’re thrust into a world overrun by the Swarm, a hostile force that spreads across the land like an invasive plague. To push back against these creatures, you harness the power of your contract—an ability that enhances your attributes, unlocks new gear, and fuels your mounting strength run after run. The setup is straightforward, but it’s the execution of its systems that gives the game a surprisingly robust sense of depth. At the heart of the experience is your “Magic Chariot,” a customizable platform that holds your weapons, support modules, and special abilities. This slot-based loadout approach forces you to think carefully about what you bring into each mission. Every slot carries weight: a weapon might provide raw power, but equipping another could give you wider coverage, more control, or crucial survivability. As you collect items during your run, you’re constantly reevaluating your build, replacing weaker parts with stronger ones or adjusting your strategy depending on the enemies ahead. This constant micro-decision making keeps the tension high and ensures that no two builds feel quite the same. The route map system adds another layer of intentional strategy. Before committing to a path, you can choose whether to enter zones filled with elite enemies, high-value loot, or lower-risk, lower-reward encounters. Each path influences the flow of your run—whether you lean into danger for the sake of rapid growth or play more cautiously to preserve your health and gear. These branching decisions make each attempt feel meaningful, inviting players to experiment with different approaches based on their current build or risk tolerance. Some routes pay off handsomely with rare items, while others test your endurance with overwhelming enemy waves, giving the game an unpredictable rhythm that keeps players engaged. Resource synthesis and item upgrading further enrich the progression. Lesser items can be fused into more powerful gear, and the mutated rune mechanic introduces a gamble: you can attempt to upgrade items directly, but failure is always a possibility. When an upgrade succeeds, the thrill is palpable; when it fails, it reinforces the game’s roguelike spirit, where risk and reward constantly intertwine. These mechanics make progression feel more dynamic than simple loot drops, and they reward thoughtful planning rather than blind luck—though luck, as in most roguelites, still plays its role. Combat itself is chaotic and energetic, defined by swarms of creatures that press in from all angles. The game leans into spectacle—explosions, projectiles, and colorful effects fill the screen as you carve through hordes. Despite the frantic nature of the action, the game maintains a readable structure that allows you to strategically position yourself, kite enemies, and trigger abilities at key moments. When your build comes together—when your weapons synergize, your chariot hums with power, and mobs evaporate under your firepower—the payoff is immensely satisfying. Visually, Contract of Swarm Hunter keeps things relatively straightforward. Its presentation is clean and functional, focusing more on clarity and readability than narrative embellishment. There isn’t much story beyond the premise of the contract and ongoing battles with the Swarm, but the game is clearly designed with gameplay first in mind. For players who prefer lore-rich environments or character-driven narratives, this sparse approach may feel thin. But for those who see roguelites primarily as mechanical playgrounds, the lack of narrative doesn’t detract from the moment-to-moment excitement. The game also includes cooperative multiplayer, allowing you to tackle the Swarm with a partner online or over LAN. This addition significantly enhances replay value, as coordinating builds and strategies with another player adds new layers of synergy and chaos. The short-session structure makes it easy to jump into a run, either solo or with a friend, without committing to long play sessions. It’s a game designed for experimentation—something you can play for ten minutes or two hours depending on your mood. However, the reliance on randomness can occasionally undermine the sense of control. A bad sequence of item drops, a poorly timed spawn, or an unlucky synthesis failure can derail an otherwise promising run. For some players, this unpredictability will feel unfair or overly punishing. The game’s numerous overlapping systems may also overwhelm newcomers before they discover the satisfaction of creating cohesive builds. Ultimately, Contract of Swarm Hunter is a fast, engaging, and replayable action-roguelite that balances strategic depth with accessible gameplay. It offers satisfying build crafting, meaningful route choices, and explosive combat encounters, making each run feel distinct and rewarding. While it lacks a strong narrative backbone and can occasionally veer into unpredictability, it delivers exactly what fans of the genre crave: experimentation, progression, and the thrill of carving a path through overwhelming odds. For players who enjoy refining builds, mastering systems, and diving into short but intense sessions of chaotic action, this game is a solid and entertaining addition to the roguelite landscape.
A challenging roguelite where you choose a vehicle and craft gear into stronger versions, relying entirely on skill since there are no permanent upgrades. The game falls into the “survivor/roguelite” genre, so you likely already have an idea of what to expect. You begin by selecting one of the two available vehicles, while the others are unlocked by completing stages. Each vehicle has slightly different stats, but none stands out as significantly better than the rest. They are generally divided into two types: the tank and the sword casket. The sword casket is considered a harder mode because it offers fewer weapons. Next, you choose a contract, which provides both a positive and a negative perk. For example, a contract might increase your damage while lowering your critical rate, or give you extra health at the cost of defense. Additional contracts unlock when you meet specific requirements, which are displayed when you hover over a locked contract. Progression occurs through a map, where you select your next destination after completing a stage. The map itself, however, lacks uniqueness or variety. Nodes are straightforward: the most common standard battles requiring you to survive for a set time, elite battles against stronger waves, chests with free loot, encounters that grant perks, and boss fights at the end of a path. Gameplay is simple and does not demand much effort. You primarily move around, collect coins dropped by defeated enemies, and occasionally reach orbs that provide extra money or health. Firing is automatic, targeting the nearest enemy. Each coin you collect contributes to both your budget and your experience bar. When the experience bar fills, you can select one perk from a random set of three after the battle. These perks affect your stats, allowing for improvements to defense, critical chance, damage, and more. After choosing your next node, you enter a shop where coins can be spent on items, runes, and weapons. The shop offers a random selection of three items at a time, but you can refresh the offer for a small coin fee. Items are automatically placed in the appropriate slots on your vehicle, though slot availability is limited. Any items that do not fit drop into your inventory, which also has limited space. The shop’s offerings depend on the vehicle you have selected. While items remain consistent, a tank can access four weapons and four runes, whereas the sword casket mainly receives sword upgrades. Occasionally, a tank weapon may appear for the sword casket, but only one can be equipped. Items and perks can stack, but this does not apply to weapons. Instead, the game features a synthesizer, which allows you to combine a weapon with a rune to create an enhanced version. For instance, merging a lightning bolt with a thunder rune produces a weapon with an electrocution effect, while combining a shooting star with a poison rune results in a venomous attack. The codex tracks all combinations, though the result is only revealed after creating it at least once. The sword casket has its own combinations and requires additional resources. Instead of acquiring new weapons, the sword possesses three upgradable attacks. These upgrades enhance damage, piercing—how many enemies the attack passes through—and bounce—how many enemies it ricochets between. A particularly rewarding feature is that when you successfully create two identical combinations, you can merge them with a specific additional item to forge an even stronger weapon. This process can continue toward a final, ultimate combination, though it demands substantial resources. Overall, the game is challenging because poor build choices can leave you struggling against faster and stronger enemies in later stages. Speed is crucial, as enemies not only move quickly but also attack and dash aggressively. Unfortunately, there are no permanent upgrades to ease progression; success relies entirely on your build and skill, and when you die, you have to start from scratch.
