really fun and addictive gameplay, very reminiscent of cod zombies love that this game is still getting support from its dev 8/10
Overall its a good game with even better potential. Constructive criticisms: [*] Cramped spaces make maneuvering unnecessarily challenging [*] Health drops FAST. Could use armor upgrades. [*] Since ammo exists, a lack of it also exists. A melee option would be nice. [*] Remapping keybinds is a must. Sometimes I'm boneheaded and aim when I mean to run because I'm used to shift being for running.

"Containment Breach" is a poorly made 2D retro top down shooter that loosely (and badly) simulates close quarters firearm combat against zombies. This does look like it's genuinely made, but good intentions alone aren't enough to make a great PC gaming experience... this almost feels like an Adobe Flash game. What do you do in the game? It really is just limited to some janky top down shooting as you try to shoot and escape the building. There's a few upgrades and stuff, but it's ultimately shallow and unengaging. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. In terms of visuals, this features really godawful MS-Paint tier "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. The deplorably bad visuals here come across as an insult to gamers. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
