Conquest of Elysium 3 (CoE3) is a streamlined turn based fantasy strategy game with a touch of rogue-like and the complex undertones of Illwinter's Dominions series. While CoE3 appears to be a simple game with limited options at first glance, delving further into the game reveals a game of complex decision making and risky endeavors.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A fun and easy take on strategy. Would recommend to someone who isnt sure if they want to shell out for the newer ones yet, or is intimidated (or in my case just not smart or patient enough) to play dominions.
A turn based strategy game in a fantasy setting where you play the leader of a faction, and recruit units and expand to conquer the world. I'll start with the game's biggest flaw which is the UI and controls. There is a bit of a learning curve in terms of figuring out just how to play the game at all. But once you figure it out it's not so bad. The graphics are also simple but in this pixel renaissance of indie games I find them pretty charming. I like that all the leaders play very differently. There's straightforward leaders like the Baron who just recruits soldiers, but there's also leaders like a Necromancer who trades sanity to raise the dead, or the Troll King who is basically just an army on his own. I like this game a lot, though if you're curious you should probably check out Conquest of Elysium 4 which is the same game with some improvements.

Great game. Came out in 2012 back when games were actual games and not forgettable propaganda pieces.. Conquest of Elysium 3 has been updated to work on 64-bit operating systems. It's straight forward but complex fantasy strategy fun! And the music is great :)
unfortunately unless you are saving every single turn or are immune to the crashes I can't recommend it. the developer can't be bothered to hunt down problems in their older games so that they could truly shine over time despite each on their own, they would rather have time claim it like an old car in a yard. there are a ton of issues which may or may not have been fixed in the latest game. stuff like no way to get back to the main menu from a running game beyond closing the entire game. art for units clashing and clipping making identification and assignment a real test. a lot of room for surfacing basic important information that is otherwise hidden or entirely unavailable. I could probably get over its unkempt nonsense if it weren't for the crashes I am experiencing. I should be grateful we have both fullscreen and windowed mode with excellent scaling of the window. I'll still open it as a curiosity occasionaly I reckon' but any sort of longform expectation from a big map campaign or caring about building an epic squad up is kind of dashed for me
CoE3 is all about what you do with it. Not ridiculously deep, but good fun. I think it works best for smaller situations, but the option for large-scale warfare is always there. The graphics and sound department is ultra basic, so if that matters to you, don't waste your time. For everyone else who just wants a fun strategy game with a lot of play options, consider this title for your collection. Be aware that it takes time to get used to the gameplay and all the different aspects that go with it. The UI is not great, but it could be worse. I like it despite its flaws. Overall: 3/5
Original and deep strategy game which can be learned rather fast.
If you like turn based strategy games, you'll like this.
It is a very fun turn based strategy warfare game similar to Master of Magic
There are a lot o classes that mix things up a lot and that can be fun. If you are winning you snowball into a deathball but the late game is still slow because you have to run around with your guys to retake territory you lose. Get on a sale and it will be somewhat enjoyable.
4/5 Buy #4, but this is a great simple, turn based fantasy world domination game. The varied races make it interesting. Wish dev would continue to evolve this series.
