Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Loved the game! And I would definitely recommend people to play it, I feel like it deserves more attention that it currently is getting. A lot of comments compared this game to the case of the Golden Idol, which annoys me a bit. Yes the puzzle mechanic is very similar, I do feel like this game does it in a completely different way though. I also don't want the precedent that all games that have the word searching mechanic are Golden Idol copycats. Cause I really enjoy that mechanic and want more games like that lol so let's try to judge them as their own entities. One of the biggest attractions of this game to me are the storyline and art direction. The puzzles themselves aren't the most difficult (saying that I did have to look up how to solve something once, I couldn't find the last piece of information), but the story really grips you. The ending was quite sad due to that since you do really start to connect with the characters, but the epic finale was worth it in the end. Really really well done. The art style and music set the tone mysterious tone for the game, absolutely love the impact of lighting and specific angles in their story telling. With all this said, the game really is on the short side. Definitely looking forward to what the developers do next, whether that DLCs or another game. Take my money and tell me more stories goddаmit! Anyway, thank you for this game. It's awesome!

--The good-- - Gorgeous art style. Looks like American comics from last century - Intriguing mystery - Good use of foreshadowing. It gives a good incentive to go back to the early cases and enjoy the hints that were there all along, now with new meaning - I enjoyed the small side puzzles like associating recorded voices with names and organizing the timeline of the massacre - I appreciate the note-taking feature. It's nothing crazy or revolutionary, but it's nice to have (somehow it's not present in the game's inspiration, Golden Idol). I used it a couple of times to make lists of names that I knew for sure didn't apply to a certain unidentified person (e.g. the thief is neither Francisco nor Richards because the letter addressed to him is written by Francisco and mentions Richards as a third party). --The bad-- - A lot of spelling and punctuation errors. Comma splices abound, and "rehearsal" is consistently misspelled as "reharsal" too many times - Mediocre music. It's repetitive and has no substance. The only decent themes are the drug party and the interrogations - The game uses a lot of cliché tropes, as other reviewers have said - The balcony doors in the hotel case map to the wrong rooms. The left door should map to room 3, but it maps to room 1, and viceversa - Character identification in the notebook is too exploitable. All IDs should be verified at the same time, like Golden Idol does, to prevent brute-forcing. Likewise with the small puzzles like the timeline in the massacre case and the Pyramid of Power - There should be a way to leave a character's name slots empty after identifying them wrongly. Right now the wrong names have to stick until you find the correct ones, and this can mess with cross-referencing -
Kenneth
's interrogation reconstruction should allow "the empire
Roman/Lipko
built", not just "
Dominic/Fraser
". They are the same person, after all. I wasted 15 minutes rereading everything and swapping words in vain, and only learned the answer in a Steam walkthrough - There's no reliable way of identifying Dominic's friends in the last case. Looks are not enough. It's not necessary to complete the game, but still disappointing that this puzzle was poorly designed when all other cases had solid reasoning for the ID process - My game has crashed twice in a full playthrough. Not sure if this is a widespread problem or only mine - Two actors wear scarves in the theater case and it's not obvious who is who just based on that, so I had to take a guess. Not a great puzzle. Not as bad as the Dominic's friends situation, though, because here it's just two possibilities - The Ad Astra case says
Tobias
has a bullet in the stomach, but it's clearly in the chest - The sprite for the stamp on the disco case should be mirrored. --Conclusion-- Despite a few flaws I was glued to my seat, quite entertained all the way through. I wish there were more cases.
An interesting story and the art and aesthetics were cool. But, the deduction aspects were easier than I would have liked and I don't really think the price is justified for the amount of content. Other deduction games would usually get harder or more convoluted further in, but this just stayed the same difficulty the entire way and I did not touch the notes function. Would recommend buying on sale or in a bundle
Перевод сделан отвратительно. Игра запустилась на русском языке, затем при выборе Новой игры, я выбрал английский. В результате у меня половина терминов на русском, половина - на английском. Довольно плохонькая поделка. Golden Idol в сто раз круче.
5 stars. Excellent vibes and mood. Very inspired by the Golden Idol series. Great storyline and very polished if much easier than the superior Golden Idol games.
推理难度适中 有些空甚至因为翻译的语法问题而十分简单 就是对于线索词条的收集太过于死板和僵硬(尤其是人名
This game is fun. If you like this style of game you will have fun. The story is interesting and the gameplay is competent and engaging. However, if you've played the Golden Idol games, you will be missing some of their QoL features. I found myself having a far harder time back tracking in this game. Pros: There are also a few sections, which act as a knowledge check. This is a wonderful addition and at least at this moment felt like a unique idea from these devs. They're framed as a conversation with an important character and my only fault with them is that there weren't enough of them. I would love to have interviewed a cast member after every case as I felt far more engaged with and invested in Keller and Cleveland than the other characters. The game is short, competent, and can hold your attention for a 3 hour play through. This is genuinely worth the price of admission and if you're looking to kill 3 hours you can't really go wrong with this game. There was one point 2 hours in I wanted to set it down, but only because I thought it'd take another 2 to complete. You can get this done in under 3 hours if you're rushing, it's definitely a one sitting type of game. Cons: The game does not remove words upon confirming them in some fashion, this is a basic QoL feature in my mind, especially when you have 12 plus characters in a scene. This genuinely should be the first thing anyone codes when making a game like this. Tacking on the arbitrary splitting up of information. Why is Kady Keller written on several documents but I have to get Kady from someone's dialogue and Keller from a book? The story, while interesting can lose you at points. There were a few times where people got away even after I, a detective, found them to be at fault *cough cough* Mike *cough cough*. This paired with the fact I only really got to personally interrogate/interview two people made me feel less active and while the overall narrative was nice, this really gutted my enjoyment of this. The story felt like it needed to trick you at points, like the dev wanted to make it harder to follow at the end. There were a couple levels where the clues didn't feel like they added up. The biggest failure here, imo, is the last level. There's a scene where a bunch of people we've never met or seen die (I won't spoil much more) and the clues to who they are are difficult to parse. Making people die on the other side of the room from their belongings when they start dying at their seats feels really cheap. Would be find if you had some kind of thing relating to who they were next to since it was a delayed murder method, but that's neither here nor there. It's just the best example of this forced confusion for no good reason. All in all it's a game I'd recommend if you like this genre, it does a lot right, and the things it does wrong are really minor in comparison. I genuinely hope that I get a sequel or similar game from these developers. They have a good baseline and with a few tweaks they'll probably make one of the best games we've seen.
