Really clever little game, well designed and satisfying. Would love to see controller support and higher difficulty levels, but it's absolutely worth your time/money as it stands. :)
I like it. I've played 35 hours and have almost all achievements. It's very much a euro-style board game kinda game. You put down buildings in the hope of generating points over the long term. You can get combos, and many are strong without feeling overpowered or required. The game is also not painfully complex, but will still test your strategy. Overall, a very well-balanced game. It does feel like it's missing one or two more tweaks to make it addicting in the long term.

Very fun, and a little too addictive, reminds me of another game.. hmm, I think it was Baltro. (Sorry for bad grammer) Real review coming up: The game has a very simple and uber sehr(Supre duper) fun game play loop. You start a game, have a random map presented, chose 2 out of 7 guilds(these make up your card draw/building draw list, with each guild having a unique playstyle/theme to them) and then you try to meet a steadily increasing goal every 8 weeks/turns until you beat the "game" or build your perfect city. There are 11 different difficulties, base mode, which does nothing, and then 1-10 which each add and build on the last added modiffier, like Slay The Spires Ascension or other games that do something similiar(sorry don't really play too many different games) The game has a similiar mid to end game craziness like in Balatro or Path of Achra, where you just put something down and all hell breaks loose and suddenly you have a bunch of points. It is very fun and sastisfying to get a really good and "trigger-happy" city going, but getting the Ultimate Guildmaster was not as fun as the "easier" version. Basically, you have to beat a game on Regen difficulty, the highest. One game for each of the 21 combindable guilds, which for some is not easy and for others is a cake walk. I spent a good 10 hours on just the Frontier, Civic and Econ guild spefic combinded victories. But no worries, this game is not that long, plus has an Endless mode, so if you wanna make it long, you know what to do. Overall this game is fun and gives me a lot of hope/desire to find another game like it.
Really great game, only bad thing is that most runs are very similar. and using two guilds at once doesn't really do much 'cuz I always just end up leaning into one guild. and each guild seems so far to have only one or two real strategies for winning. so maybe could be balanced a little better or something. But overall would recommend. thanks!
One of the best mini city builders I've ever played. The design space is so fun to explore and discover new combinations and strategies. The guild selection and higher difficulties do a great job encouraging you to replay and discover more. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's wonderful!
It's so good dude, just buy it. It's not confusing or hand-holdy, and both the rounds themselves and the games as a whole grow at a very manageable and healthy pace. The guild system and the ways they play off each other is genius, and the whole thing is simply satisfying in a way that nothing else I've played is. It's WELL worth your money.
If you like random and roguelike, you should try this game. Amount of possible building synergies are insane.
Very fun game! Satisfying to discover synergies and lots of roguelite goodness in unlocking the various guilds and playing them in combination.
Balatro was a warning for what was to come. This is what was to come. It's really really good.
Balatro level triggering in a city builder. Its hitting new dopamine sensors I didnt know I had.
