I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

+) Good twin stick shooter with a simple rule: you cant destroy enemy cubes if they have same color as your. Inspired me to make my own twin stick shooter. -) Partial controller support. Why not full support? Most of game menus can be navigated via controller Cant remap gamepad buttons Default config: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3649951951 On Logitech F310 (XBOX switch position) Red/Blue/Green/Yellow button changed color of ship according to button color Movement: Left DPAD (mode lamp on) or left stick (mode lamp off) Despite partial controller support I will recommend this game as I mostly played using mouse and keyboard

Color Chaos, developed and published by Daniel Riley, is a tightly focused arcade shooter that distills its design down to reflexes, awareness, and constant adaptation. It doesn’t aim to overwhelm players with layers of systems or narrative framing; instead, it commits to a single clever idea and explores it thoroughly through fast, repeatable sessions. The result is a compact experience that feels immediately understandable yet surprisingly demanding, especially as the pace ramps up and the screen fills with danger. At the heart of the game is its defining color-switching mechanic. Players control a character in a confined arena using classic twin-stick controls—one input for movement and another for aiming—while enemies pour in from all sides. The twist is that enemies are color-coded, and matching your character’s color to an enemy makes you immune to its attacks, but also unable to damage it. To eliminate threats, you must constantly switch colors, threading yourself between waves of matching enemies to avoid harm, then flipping hues at the right moment to strike. This simple rule creates a continuous risk-reward loop that keeps the player’s attention locked on both positioning and timing. The gameplay quickly becomes a test of spatial awareness and decision-making under pressure. Early moments feel manageable as players learn how colors interact, but the difficulty curve escalates steadily as enemy numbers increase and movement patterns become more aggressive. Safe zones are temporary, and hesitation is punished. Success depends on reading the battlefield at a glance, predicting how enemy colors will box you in, and planning color swaps a second ahead of time. This creates a satisfying sense of flow when everything clicks, where survival feels earned rather than accidental. Color Chaos offers multiple modes that build on the same core mechanics while adjusting intensity. Standard modes emphasize steady escalation, while faster variants push the action to near-overwhelming speeds, demanding sharp reflexes and near-constant movement. Rather than introducing new mechanics for each mode, the game relies on pacing and density to create variety. This approach keeps the learning curve consistent while still offering meaningful challenges for players seeking to test their limits. Visually, the game adopts a clean, minimalist style that prioritizes clarity. Bright, distinct colors ensure that enemies and hazards remain readable even during the most chaotic moments. There’s little unnecessary visual detail, which helps players focus on the essential information needed to survive. This stripped-down presentation reinforces the arcade nature of the experience, where readability and responsiveness matter far more than spectacle. Sound design supports the action without overwhelming it. Audio cues provide useful feedback for movement, shooting, and enemy interactions, while the soundtrack maintains a steady, energetic tone that complements the rising intensity of each run. The audio never distracts from gameplay, instead reinforcing the rhythm of movement and color switching that defines the experience. Replayability is one of the game’s strongest assets. Each session is short, deaths come quickly, and restarting is nearly instantaneous, encouraging a “just one more try” mentality. Leaderboards add a competitive edge, motivating players to refine their strategies and push for higher scores. While there are no deep progression systems or unlock trees, the pursuit of mastery itself becomes the primary incentive to keep playing. That simplicity, however, is also the game’s main limitation. Players looking for long-term progression, narrative context, or mechanical expansion may find the experience too narrow in scope. Color Chaos is unapologetically focused on its core loop, and once players feel they’ve mastered the mechanic, there are few surprises left. Its appeal relies almost entirely on how much enjoyment one derives from high-score chasing and mechanical refinement. Overall, Color Chaos succeeds by committing fully to a single, elegant idea and executing it with precision. It delivers fast, colorful, and demanding arcade action that rewards awareness, timing, and composure under pressure. While its scope is modest, its design is confident and cohesive, making it an excellent choice for players who enjoy twin-stick shooters, short but intense play sessions, and the satisfaction of mastering a tightly tuned system. Rating: 6/10
