Fun horde game
The demo of this game was released 'just' before a heavy influx of A.I created demo's. Not judging, but I did have a discussion with the developer on what inspired him to create a charming retro-homage to the arcade games and 8-Bit adventures of old. It reminds me of a blend of 'The New Zealand Story' arcade game, very tricky and fun, and the adventures of 'every' 8-Bit hero, which each computer and console company would create as a mascot for their device. I felt that I owed it to the dev, as he was very helpful, and his creation, as indeed, this was lost in a plethora of demo's and might have been missed by an interested audience. Here is the dev's reply:- Hi again! I pushed an update a couple of hours ago with a fix for the audio levels, so I think the sound problem should be fixed now! I boosted the overall volume and turned up the music, so it should be better. To answer your question—it actually just started because I had some free time, so it began like that! But as I kept working on it, I really started to like it. I've always liked pixel art, and since I'm not a professional artist, working with pixels was a much better fit. While the art might not be industry-level amazing, it has its own unique style, and this is just the first version of the demo. I'm going to keep working on it and improving it all the way until the full release! Thanks so much for the support and the great questions. I appreciate it!
