A wonderful cozy puzzle game with beautiful artwork and engaging gameplay. You can feel a lot of love went into making this. Definite recommendation!
Very cozy atmosphere in which you build the highest possible towers using a limited amount of resources. A relaxed way to train your brain, all the while looking at a beautiful and colorful fantasy world. The higher you go the more challenging it gets. Super satisfying btw to watch a sped up replay of how you build your Cloudscraper, at the end of each level. At this price point you get a lot of bang for your buck, big recommend.

It's a good game, but there's one thing it really needs: A redo-your-last-step button! I had to use my block remover so many times already just because I misclicked or accidentally used the wrong material :<
Crazy addictive! As soon as i started playing it was impossible to put down
Such a cute lil game, loved how the blocks change appearance to react to other blocks you place.
Cloudscrapers is a well polished puzzle/roguelite game where you build a tower and try to respect some patterns to get the resources to build more. I completed the story mode, and I can only say I enjoyed it as a whole, the music is fantastic, the drawing are gorgious, I like the variations of the blocks that give the tower a unique look. The game is not too easy, but you always restart with a better setup so it doesn't feel frustrating. There's also a challenge mode I haven't tried yet.
Cloudscrapers takes the familiar satisfaction of building something piece by piece and turns it into a compact strategy experience centered on one straightforward ambition: keep climbing. Instead of managing an enormous settlement or juggling dozens of interconnected production systems, the game focuses its attention on constructing an increasingly tall tower while making careful use of limited resources. Developed by Nementic Games and published by Curve Games, it embraces simplicity without completely removing the planning and optimization that make strategy games rewarding. Each attempt begins modestly, giving players a manageable collection of resources and tools before asking them to determine the most efficient path upward. Building higher is the obvious objective, but reaching impressive heights requires more than simply adding another section whenever possible. Resources need to be considered carefully, and inefficient decisions can restrict how far a particular attempt will progress. The mechanics are deliberately approachable, making the fundamentals easy to understand while leaving enough room for players to refine their methods over repeated runs. A persistent progression system gives these attempts a stronger sense of purpose. Reaching new milestones can provide upgrades and additional tools that improve the possibilities available during later towers. This means that a run does not necessarily become meaningless simply because it fails to achieve a new record. Players gradually accumulate both mechanical advantages and personal knowledge, learning how to stretch resources further and recognizing which decisions are worth prioritizing. The result is a satisfying cycle of building, learning, improving, and returning with better options. The upward journey also contains an element of exploration. Ancient relics and other discoveries wait beyond the more familiar portions of the sky, encouraging players to continue climbing for reasons beyond setting a taller record. There is an underlying sense that the clouds conceal something unusual, adding a subtle layer of mystery to an otherwise peaceful construction experience. This contrast works well because the game does not need an elaborate narrative to create curiosity. The simple question of what might be waiting higher up can provide additional motivation to continue progressing. Presentation is another important part of the game's identity. Its hand-drawn visual approach gives the environment a welcoming personality, while clouds, weather, colorful scenery, and the growing structure itself help communicate the tremendous vertical distance being traveled. Rather than pursuing realism, the artwork supports the relaxing atmosphere and keeps important elements visually readable. Watching a small construction gradually become a towering structure stretching through the clouds provides much of the game's immediate visual satisfaction. Cloudscrapers also appears designed around relatively short and comfortable sessions. This makes it attractive for players who enjoy strategic thinking but do not always have time for sprawling campaigns or complicated management simulations. A single session can still provide meaningful decisions and visible progress, while persistent upgrades create an incentive to return later. This bite-sized structure complements the minimalist mechanics particularly well and should make the game suitable for casual sessions without preventing dedicated players from chasing increasingly optimized towers. The main concern is whether its deliberately narrow concept can maintain enough variety over extended play. Players accustomed to detailed city builders may miss complex economies, large technology trees, extensive construction options, or interconnected simulation systems. Much of the longevity therefore depends on how effectively new tools, upgrades, relics, environmental circumstances, and progression milestones change the decisions involved in building upward. For the intended audience, however, the restrained design may actually be an advantage rather than a limitation. Steam Deck compatibility is a notable advantage. The game is officially Steam Deck Verified, with its core functionality working through the handheld's controls and its interface remaining usable on the smaller display. Controller prompts and general navigation are appropriately supported, while the game can run using settings suitable for the device. Its viewpoint and methodical pacing also translate naturally to portable play, although demanding visual settings can still make sensible performance adjustments worthwhile for players prioritizing battery life or consistent performance. Overall, Cloudscrapers offers an appealing combination of minimalist strategy, tower construction, resource optimization, gradual progression, and atmospheric exploration. Its strongest feature is how clearly every mechanic supports the central goal of reaching farther into the clouds. Instead of attempting to compete with enormous management simulations through sheer complexity, it concentrates on creating a relaxing loop where every new tower offers another opportunity to improve. Players who enjoy cozy strategy games, incremental progression, optimization, and short sessions should find its unusual vertical adventure particularly inviting. Rating: 8/10
Very relaxing game with clever mechanics. I enjoyed it already from the demo and I am excited to see how the story evolves.
