Let me preface this by saying that this game had SO MUCH potential. 4/10 Yes I also beat it with friends as it was a gift. Let's begin shall we. This hot mess of a game, one of which should have been at least Early Access, is littered with an absurd amount of game breaking bugs and glitches. Whoever play tested this either lied to the developers or simply were delusional when they green lit it. Fire them. Bugs: (THERE IS A LOT) 1. When you die in CO-OP, whoever isn't host, the players have a high chance to spawn at the very beginning of the game regardless of progress. Solution for players: Have the host travel to a checkpoint and have them stay there and have the other player(s) leave and come back and hope for the best. 2. When you re-join the game in CO-OP, joining/reoccurring players inventories always despawn. Solution: Beat the game in one sitting OR place your inventory into a nearby storage to collect later. 3. The Quetzalcoatlus can attack and fly through structures. Upon death it appears alive still. Solution: Speed run the Aviary. Avoid LOS of the dinosaurs in it. 4. Grapple hooks are way too janky and unpredictable. Cannot grapple mid air sometimes. The marker itself also GETS STUCK in the middle of your screen. Solution: Reload the game. 5. Dinosaurs respawn way too fast despite area secure tasks being completed. Solution: Just don't die. That way you don't have to go through it again. If you do die though, simply ask for help or hope you had reserves in your nearby storage. 6. The amount of rocks that you can fall through are everywhere within enclosures. Solution: Avoid large rock formations. Do not try to glitch past areas not designed for traversing. 7. The oxygen tank that's supposed to give you extra air is null after reloading the game. Solution: Beat the game in one sitting. 8. Tasks constantly reset regardless of single player or CO-OP run. Solution: Beat the game in one sitting. 9. Infrastructure is incomplete in the Dilophosaurus Den, so you can just skip a whole area by going to one of the viewing pens. You can't miss it. Solution: There isn't one. It's just a big hole. 10. Health Stims that you find do not work after reloading the game. Solution: There isn't one. 11. Park Maps from information booths do not stay with you after leaving the game. Just do not bother with maps to be honest except your current area map. Map Kiosks are your friend. Solution: There isn't one. 12. Monorails are unpredictable and you can glitch out of them if positioned poorly. Solution: Stand in the middle or at the front. Avoid the back. 13. Gate doors that appear closed are actually open and doors that are actually open are in fact closed. There is no way of telling until you run into them. Hosts can see what is what though. Solution: Like I said, just run into them and hope for the best or simply ask whoever's hosting. 14. The golden statues do not count sometimes and are unpredictable if they'll actually show up on the stands resulting in loss progress and campaign being stuck due to it being essential for continuation. Solution: Finding another golden statue seems to make the other ones appear again. 15. Dinosaur animations are inconsistent. Having a sleeping dinosaur sliding at you at full speed, although hilarious, is rather annoying when trying to shoot it or see it in the first place. Solution: Max out your volume and do your best to hear the dinosaur snore. 16. The Baryonyx absorbs grenades and causes said grenades to disappear entirely, especially the two in the maintenance area within the Deinosuchus underwater tubes. Solution: Save your grenades, just shoot them. 17. Resource regeneration respawn way too often. Although nice to have an abundance of crafting materials, the sheer amount you collect as you progress, makes the game less challenging and breaks immersion. "Oh no my steaks too juicy and my bread is buttered". Solution: Just ignore them when they respawn. Or just don't care and go crazy. Pro's: 1. Dinosaurs, marine reptiles, and pterosaurs. What more could you ask for. 2. Compelling story with beautiful graphics. Side Notes: To everyone in the art/coding department. The art direction, mechanics, and story were phenomenal. Thank you for making and being apart of such a nostalgic game that itched my inner childhood. The models were great. To the lead executives/producers. Please do some self reflection. I'm disappointed. This game could have been gold and you rushed it. Plus pricing it at $20 at the state that it's in? Get over yourselves.

I hope this is game makes plenty of money and funds a Prehistoria 2! loved every moment of this game and will continue to play many more when updates come out! THANK YOU DEVS for this game! it was well worth the wait! plus it released on my birthday so it was a super Brucey bonus as well :)
I believe I can explain the core problem with this game, if you wish to know it. The demo version had an excellent introduction. You received the keycard and got access to the park quickly, and rode the monorail and saw a stunning vista of a destroyed park, and an appearance of the game's star attraction, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. A sneak peak at the main villain and the final boss from a safe vantage point. This is called a narrative hook. The developers seemed to understand the concept in the demo. In the full game, the introduction is very different, you go through a silly labyrinth that involves a swimming segment and there's a shark for some reason but it doesn't attack you I think there's underwater glass blocking it. That's the first enemy you see. Not exactly a grand introduction. This game is blatantly a Jurassic Park rip-off aesthetically. It's why there's a big swinging gate with a legally distinct name like Prehistoric Park above it. They've failed to copy the magic, though. For example, you can see a screen early on that displays the status of all the fences in the park. They are all open. That isn't compelling. What should have occurred is that some fences, such as the Velociraptor Paddock, are still safely contained. Then, as the story progresses you can have a moment of dawning horror when you notice the raptor fences have failed and they are now free. It makes you aware that you aren't alone on the island and have multiple problems to deal with. Fences don't just open on their own. Someone opened them. This is precisely what occurred in the material you are ripping off. It's what should have happened here. I have a fitting quote for this that elegantly sums up the entire situation: "You read what others had done and you took the next step. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it." - Ian Malcolm
If you're wanting to buy this now I would wait till the devs fix the bugs. The amount of time I had to unsoftlock myself was absurd. The gameplay loop is also very boring, you go into sanctuary kill the dinos in your way and press a lever. Was expecting more from this game as it looked like something new and fun, but is just a buggy mess. No hate to the devs but they should have put more time into the game if you want people to have a good time.
Very buggy and not clear when you are playing where to go this needs a lot more work but when you look past all the issues you got a cool game here it just needs more time to be fixed
The game is cool BUT its very buggy, If you die your task tracker will bug out and stop you from progressing. Also co-op is broken if you load from a save your duo will lose items they had and the tasks bug out making you start a new save :(
I waited until I completed the game to write this review. I won't overword it and just give it to ya straight ... this was hands down one of the GREATEST experiences I've ever enjoyed. My ONLY complaint was not having enough of a story ending (hopefully more added later please) but other than that this will go down as a 9/10 for me. If you can handle the smallest, tiniest inconveniences then you'll see the game for it's true colors, nitty gritty Jurassic World survival horror *chefs kiss* I hope to see this polished up a bit more and please add some more story wrap up please, I NEED MORE LORE
I'm torn with this game. The premise is awesome and honestly it runs pretty good (in solo gameplay). The problem is it has been postposed multiple times which in the bigger scheme of things could be a good thing as that's just more time to iron out the bugs. But in some circumstances it runs worse than the demo did which begs the question why was it postponed so much for it to release in a poor state? Granted the dev team is small (2 people if i'm correct) but that means that maybe they bit off more that they could chew which is even worse when you realize they are already working on another game xD The co-op is BAD and basically unplayable atm but they have acknowledged and are working on making it better so the next couple of days will make or break the game imo. I'm hoping it makes it. and I can change the review to positive soon.
nice bit buggy with my friend but its fun love the game
