Classified: France '44 —
Loved this game, Don't listen to the whiny negative reviews from people who played for an hour, If u want xcom in a ww2 setting this is for you.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a fun game, cross between Commandos and XCom. Replayability is somewhat limited as the second time around the same mission, you already know what to expect. About the WW2 setting, a few minor tweaks could improve era immersion. The dialogues do not sound quite 40's to me, and I think there was a missed opportunity in the faction stores, by putting a mix of random gear of every nationality. I would rather have the radicals (backed by the USSR), have soviet gear in their store, the gaullists witrh american/english gear and the criminal faction supplying all kinds of crazy, cool things.
Solid game with unique skill tree format, hardest difficulty really just comes down to armor on enemies absording lots more damage, which does make you use your skills to the fullest extent, but really doesn't change the game any. The idea that killing x number of enemies triggers an ambush seems weird, you should be able to trigger it anytime you are still undetected. But instead you can puzzle out the best x enemies to kill before the ambush kicks in. Some missions can really be stealthed all the way through, which is a cool twist. Forced timers and reinforcements is also a twist that works well in this game. Overworld level is ok. In all a good turn based game. Has a few issues that are just quality of life: recap at end tells me my people went on 0 missions, which is wrong, and the camera sometimes moves on you when trying to plan your actions, causing an occasional misclick. Not sure there is a ton of replay beyond getting to all the missions. I played to 100% achievements and think I am done. @ 60 hours, so a good amount of game time.
This is one of those Turn Based tactical games with a nice little board game style strategic campaign overlaid on top of it. It isn't the best, it isn't even great, but it is a pretty good WWII turn based strategy game. It is a fictional macro story of people inside a very real event. (The resistance preparing for Allied invasion of WWII) Although the resistance was throughout Europe, this focuses on France. The use of the setting is well done, it feels like a good WWII game. The atmosphere is well done, the graphics, animation, and music all lend a good job in that department. Even the macro story and dialog between your people in between missions adds to it. The game is fun, but it is one that takes a bit of time to complete, and your actions matter all the way to the finish line. The strategic layer with the campaign map is unique, and fun to operate once you get a hang of it, and it is pretty intuitive. The combat layer (in missions) are well done for this game. The enemy will actually try some tactics, and more-so the further you get, and the higher the difficulty goes. The weapons, and movement is all pretty typical for this type of game, and this setting. Features like over-watch are a must and do a great job stopping opponents in their tracks. The moral system is actually implemented quite well. Not sure the gripe others have had with it, but it seemed to work great for me, but I did not play this at launch. The only real gripes I have is some audio. People voice are real low. Seagulls are extremely loud, because audio goes by camera proximation, and the perspective of the game has the birds fly right by the camera. Also, there is no in game brightness adjustment. It goes by desktop brightness. For the graphics level, which are not bad at all, it seemed slightly unoptimized at times. Those are kind of minor gripes for a turn based game, cause the game is a rather fun ride. Most levels are unique you don't really feel there is a lot of copy & paste with them. Different choices lead to different missions, some missions are either/or. It has a decent amount of replay value as well if that is your thing. If you like turn based tactical/strategy games, and WWII games, I recommend grabbing it if you can find it on sale. It can take you anywhere from 30-50 hours to actually complete it a campaign, so it isn't exactly a short game. Mine was a 50 hour campaign, but I like to take my time, enjoy things, think about my moves, and even save & reload if I need.
Great game! Fans of X-Com type games should definitely play it. This game won't disappoint you.
Très bonne surprise :) Pour les nostalgiques de Silent Storm 1 et 2 :)
Stealth takedown -> Triggered Alert. Then it wasn't a stealth takedown. 0/10, F-, would not recommend. Also, despite setting graphics to LOWEST, this set my graphics card (which isn't great, but handles games with actual graphics Just Fine) into the spirit of the game, a struggling propeller plane that isn't long for this world.
jestem fanem gier w stylu XCOMa ale ta mi się nie podoba i żałuję zakupu, odradzam
