About

One of 2022’s most acclaimed indies, the Game Awards-nominated Citizen Sleeper is a Tabletop-inspired narrative RPG set on Erlin’s Eye, a ruined space station that is home to thousands of people trying to survive on the edges of an interstellar capitalist society.
You are a sleeper, a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body, owned by a corporation that wants you back. Thrust amongst the unfamiliar and colourful inhabitants of the Eye, you need to build friendships, earn your keep, and navigate the factions of this strange metropolis, if you hope to survive to see the next cycle.

Inspired by Tabletop Roleplaying games, Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world. Each cycle you use the dice you are dealt to choose what to do with your time. Make or break alliances, uncover truths and escape your hunters. Survive and ultimately thrive, one cycle at a time, and sometimes against the clock!

The station plays host to characters from all walks of life, trying to eke out an existence among the stars. Salvagers, engineers, hackers, bartenders, street-food vendors, each has a history which brought them here. You choose which of them you wish to help, and together you will shape your future.

Eventually, you will learn to use your dice to hack into the station’s cloud to access decades of digital data, uncover new areas and unlock secrets. This is your unique power, and with it you can change your future. Corporate secrets, rogue AIs and troves of lost data await those willing to dive into the depths of the station’s networks.

Essen-Arp: to them you are just property, one more asset in a portfolio that stretches across the stars. You are the product of an abusive system, in a universe where humanity’s expansion is marked by exploitation and extraction. Escape the makers of your decaying body, and chart your own path in a richly imagined, deeply relevant sci-fi world which explores ideas of precarity, personhood and freedom.

Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world.

Each cycle you roll your dice. Assign them to vast range of actions available on the station. With every action, choose what, and who, matters to you, shaping the lives of those around you, and ultimately the future of the station.

Clocks track both your actions and the actions of others across the station. From becoming a local at the Overlook Bar to protecting a friend from Yatagan enforcers, clocks allow you to track your own progress and the influence you have on the world around you.

Follow drives not quests, allowing you to pick and choose the stories and activities that matter to you. As you do, you will shape your character's five skills (Engineer, Interface, Endure, Intuit and Engage), unlocking perks and bonuses that reflect and change how you choose to live in this world.

Citizen Sleeper now includes all three post-launch DLC episodes FLUX, REFUGE and PURGE, which expand the game and introduce additional characters and locations to Erlin’s Eye in an exciting new late game storyline.

An interesting scifi game that blends a visual novel with rpg chance. The game took me a moment to understand the mechanics but the (literal) ticking clocks to the next potential disaster pushed me through. At times, the time management mechanics felt punishing so I'm hopeful that there may be a little bit more wiggle room in the sequel without taking away the "every second counts" feeling that defined so much of my playthrough and wormed its way into my heart. The characters you meet along the way are well developed and the art style is incredible. I was a little disappointed that after you complated their questline most just seemed to disappear never to be interacted with again. The DLC (the Ember moon refugees) did a lot to change my assessment of this game from "okay with some issues" to "a really good game that is worth playing". The DLC's ending felt much more final and satisfying than the ending(s) of the main game and the choice to stay or go felt like it had more meaning. Afterall, your first objective in the game is "to survive" and the DLC forces the player to decide what that means. If you're looking for an interesting story focused game that you can wrap up in less that 12 hours this is it!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Damn. This is a great game. Can't believe I've slept on it so long. And the music is amazing with everything in it, it hits perfectly
I wish this game was harder. Managing dice and time at the beginning was really fun. As you progress, you unlock more abilities and these abilities reduce the external pressure placed on it, leading to a game where the decision of what to use your dice for is straight-forward. I enjoyed the stories.
A deeply moving game, especially the DLC storyline. I haven't felt this stressed out in a story-based game in a while, trying to handle the different tasks, dice and the sleepers condition together and emphasised by the beautiful writing and soundtrack created a wonderfully immersive experience.
I don't usually play games that are more like interactive novels or have a lot of dialogue, but someone recommended this game to me few times that I finally decided to give it a try. I went in with the mindset of playing it properly reading every dialogue and not skipping anything and I'm glad I did. The story was really good. It wasn't perfect, but it was still a great experience with interesting characters and a world that kept me invested. The gameplay was also something unique. The dice-based system where you get different numbers and use them for various tasks adds a nice layer of strategy. The higher the number, the better your chances of succeeding, which makes every decision feel more meaningful. Citizen Sleeper surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. It's a slower paced game, but if you take your time and let the story pull you in, it's definitely worth experiencing.
This is a game, that despite no voice-acting, no audible text like in Deltarune/Undertale, but just words on a screen, can grip you in a way that you wouldn't expect. It has simple mechanics here in the first one, with slightly more interesting ones in the second game. But this game, out of the two, is the only one to have made me cry. The music is wonderful, a good mix of calm, ground music, and more futuristic-electro, that takes place when appropriate, and you know when you have made your choice, when you hear *that* track play. This is not a visual novel. This is not an RPG. This is Citizen Sleeper, and it's a good game. As stated, simple mechanics, but this game isn't meant to be stressful, it's meant to be a story, a good one at that, told to you and you make it happen.
Fantastic story and imaginative world where you're struggling to repel bizarre threats, unravel various mysteries, and survive on this derelict space station colony. It honestly plays out like a one-player ttrpg in many ways: there are various threads (drives) for you to follow, characters will pop into and out of your games, you'll take on mundane tasks alongside great threats, and you'll slowly piece together how this world works. The dice system that determines your actions is clever, and it is tied directly to your character's health, making harm impactful as it reduces what you can do. Eager to continue.
What a beautiful story experience this was. A choose your own adventure style RPG that gave me nostalgic feelings from Neuromancer, Blade Runner, Firefly...if you are a fan of cyberpunk stories, this game delivers. The visuals are static, but the writing, the character art, the atmosphere are top notch. It was a bit grind-y at times, you need to make strategic choices with your limited actions, but the limitations work in favor of the story. I was often on the edge of my seat despite the limited physical action and I admit, I cried at the end, I felt that attached to the characters, to my character. In a world where so many games are frantic FPS, I am grateful for a heartfelt story based gem like Citizen Sleeper - Thank you to the Devs, you made a wonderful game!
