About

One of 2022’s most acclaimed indies, the Game Awards-nominated Citizen Sleeper is a Tabletop-inspired narrative RPG set on Erlin’s Eye, a ruined space station that is home to thousands of people trying to survive on the edges of an interstellar capitalist society.
You are a sleeper, a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body, owned by a corporation that wants you back. Thrust amongst the unfamiliar and colourful inhabitants of the Eye, you need to build friendships, earn your keep, and navigate the factions of this strange metropolis, if you hope to survive to see the next cycle.

Inspired by Tabletop Roleplaying games, Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world. Each cycle you use the dice you are dealt to choose what to do with your time. Make or break alliances, uncover truths and escape your hunters. Survive and ultimately thrive, one cycle at a time, and sometimes against the clock!

The station plays host to characters from all walks of life, trying to eke out an existence among the stars. Salvagers, engineers, hackers, bartenders, street-food vendors, each has a history which brought them here. You choose which of them you wish to help, and together you will shape your future.

Eventually, you will learn to use your dice to hack into the station’s cloud to access decades of digital data, uncover new areas and unlock secrets. This is your unique power, and with it you can change your future. Corporate secrets, rogue AIs and troves of lost data await those willing to dive into the depths of the station’s networks.

Essen-Arp: to them you are just property, one more asset in a portfolio that stretches across the stars. You are the product of an abusive system, in a universe where humanity’s expansion is marked by exploitation and extraction. Escape the makers of your decaying body, and chart your own path in a richly imagined, deeply relevant sci-fi world which explores ideas of precarity, personhood and freedom.

Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world.

Each cycle you roll your dice. Assign them to vast range of actions available on the station. With every action, choose what, and who, matters to you, shaping the lives of those around you, and ultimately the future of the station.

Clocks track both your actions and the actions of others across the station. From becoming a local at the Overlook Bar to protecting a friend from Yatagan enforcers, clocks allow you to track your own progress and the influence you have on the world around you.

Follow drives not quests, allowing you to pick and choose the stories and activities that matter to you. As you do, you will shape your character's five skills (Engineer, Interface, Endure, Intuit and Engage), unlocking perks and bonuses that reflect and change how you choose to live in this world.

Citizen Sleeper now includes all three post-launch DLC episodes FLUX, REFUGE and PURGE, which expand the game and introduce additional characters and locations to Erlin’s Eye in an exciting new late game storyline.

Allow yourself to live in this world and connect with the characters for the best experience. Beautiful, sad, hopeful, sometimes frustrating, messy, human. Everything felt just right to me.
I finished my first playthrough of Citizen Sleeper this evening. I say "first" because there's clearly many possible endings, most of which seemingly occur in vastly different parts of the many story arcs of the game. I chose a seriously weird and cool ending, I think. A weirdly cool ending that's more specifically up my alley than I ever expected to find in a video game, honestly. Heh. Anywho, it's an emotional journey. You'll feel kinship, betrayal, curiosity, rebelliousness, sadness, longing, joy, comfort, frustration, helplessness, hope, suspicion, suspense, responsibility, guilt, confliction, wonder, and probably some others I mislabeled or missed. The soundtrack is perfect for the pace of the game and its storytelling. It's awesome. Makes the narrative even more engaging. Choices do matter, but sometimes the shape of the outcome is unavoidable. It can very much be a lesson in consequences out of one's *immediate* control, as sometimes it's the initial choice of whom to follow or aid that turns out to be the doomed or wonderful catalyst rather than the choices one makes throughout a quest, which certainly adds to the emotional rollercoaster. I found myself mentally healing and processing after a few of the quests on my way to the others. Having to accept outcomes I couldn't have predicted. Learning from it. Learning to accept and move on. It's true to life in this way. I feel like this game could help someone build a kind of emotional intelligence in that regard. Or help someone get through a hard time in their lives. It would be difficult *not* to find a character or story in this game you can relate to in some way. The game also offers lots of opportunities if you're paying close attention and willing to take some risks. That's when all the strategic intricacies start to emerge. The first few cycles I didn't know if I'd make it to the next. Then I chose to focus on other people over my own basic survival and suddenly everything was clearer and I began to thrive. And thriving meant exploring and meeting more people. I'm starting another playthrough immediately because I need to see what happens with all the others on the Eye. I miss them already. Can't say more than that.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is so amazing i cant even explain it. 11/10 beautful art and story. Heartbreaking moments and lovable characters.
This games opening and midgame hours are its strongest. Then it kinda fell off a bit in the end game. My choices stopped mattering as much, and consequences only really come from failing a roll. You might ask "Whats the problem? Isnt that a good thing?" Well, yes but actually no. See, there are certain threats that are just sort of there and don't actually pose a threat to you. For example:
I'm buying my Insulin from the mafia you'd think there would be more danger and friction there, but no, not really. I am *actively* helping your enemies and y'all are good with this? Gonna keep selling me life juice? OK, cool I guess.
Also, Communism. Its a very shallow and "works good on paper" type Communism. Thats all ill say on that matter.
great game!
Citizen Sleeper is a game about the way different things fight for survival. The beginning of the game is difficult, as you try to figure out how to stabilize your different resources. There are many groups on the ship that you can help and, in turn, this will unlock ways to more easily generate energy, money, and items. Pick one or two of these groups to focus on at first. I became a mushroom farmer for the cult and the gardener storyline was something I would watch an entire movie about. Stick with it, don't be afraid of the countdowns. You will survive. The story is beautiful.
I wanted to feel like this remotely for so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long. After I completed Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, I felt destroyed to the core. That ending to the DLC was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powerful that I had to give up on gaming for some time just to process that ending properly. And now those feelings are the same thing or at the very least, 95% the same thing are back to haunt me down after playing through the various storylines in this game. Played through one of the endings and just reading through the text just brought tears to my eyes, ♥♥♥♥ is THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOOD The gameplay however simplistic, still addictive enough for me to waste an entire Saturday when I am busy weekends and weekdays lol and I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the systems here! Well crafted and well executed! Love you devs, this is an all timer for me!
