Reviews
Since I like Idle games and chess I wanted to give this game a shot. Some portions of the chess and some puzzles and lessons make some nonsensical moves that it isn't accurate or best to play to learn. For example one of the first strategy puzzles wants you to move a knight to an already occupied square and some lessons like the square rule which is a basic concept doesn't want you to promote but make let the king come in and capture the pawn instead of promoting. These lessons are good and all if you had explanations and had all the best moves being played. Because it can sometimes be moves that aren't accurate this is a bad training tool. The idle portions of the game are unbalanced as you can repeat a 4 move opening over and over to farm gold and complete the same puzzles to gain xp for your idle character. Because the dev cut so many corners by using AI the game in this state isn't fun, not good as a teaching tool, and unbalanced as an idle game. It's such a shame because I am a huge fan of both chess and idle games.
