Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Chesscape Room is a chess variant where you race to escape through a door with your king while your opponent hunts you down. Outrun and outsmart opponents trying to trap you across irregular boards, holes, and chokepoints.

In Chesscape Room, the King is not just a piece to defend. It is your runner. You win by reaching a door with your King while your opponent tries to cut you off and hunt you down. Instead of memorizing openings, you will be reading space and timing: when to race, when to block, when to trade, and when a single tempo decides everything.
Play through handcrafted official campaigns and standalone puzzles built to teach specific ideas and challenge your skill. You will learn how to race versus blockade, how to force an opponent onto a bad route, how to recognize door traps and decoys, and how to keep your King safe while still making progress toward escape.

When you want pure competition, play how chess is meant to be played: against humans. Chesscape Room supports local versus for tense couch matches, online multiplayer, and ranked play with ratings so you can track improvement over time and measure how well your escape and blocking instincts hold up.

I like chess, but I am not the best player. I actually almost thought one level was impossible, but then I realized I wasn't thinking it through. The get away angle makes it really tense. For some reason I get really nervous being close to the door. I was wondering what happens when you checkmate your hunter, and apparently they skip the turn and then you have to still get to the door to finish the game. Pretty interesting. I found this out in a custom game.
Really interesting chess variant. The intro campaign shows off its fun. It was even a bit challenging near the end. Basically you have to scheme to get your king to a door, which leads to interesting tactics. I had my king 3 squares from the door. Opponent had a rook and two knights. I could sprint and hope, or I could sacrifice my last bishop to force their rook onto a bad diagonal. I went for it. The rook took. I slipped through with one tempo to spare. Pretty blown away by the editor, seems this game will be aimed at allowing every to contribute boards and campaigns too, which should be lots of fun. I can't wait for the online multiplayer, I have no one to play locally with.

Chesscape Room is a very creative game! I'm not an active chess player, but I ended up really enjoying this game. The premise is very simple: reach the end of the level with the King piece, and you will eventually have auxiliary pieces (like rooks, knights, etc.) to help you. At the same time, there are enemy pieces that intend to make your life difficult. It's a game with very fun mechanics and several interesting game modes. I'm eagerly awaiting more campaigns. The first main campaign is very fun. In short, I recommend it to everyone.
游戏创意挺好,但AI垃圾得不行,玩个大师难度,AI思考大半天还是乱走一通,毫无难度可言,这样的游戏还敢卖这么贵也是牛。
