i like the game in general. there should be a standard competitive color scheme. just black and white with easily identifiable pieces. i wish the computer was a little better and there were more players online. matchmaking for a real person has resulted in 0 games. over all id say its worth it if you like playing chess and want to spend some time leveling up in game.
It's fun, definitely worth $8. Graphics and particle effects are well done, AI seems well designed. People complaining about online connection required, haven't had any issues myself.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

30 gigabyte download for a chess game is a bit much, but other than that, it plays nice. I would love to play on a normal wooden board though.. The concrete one in the museum setting is quite confusing.
Visually, this game is definitely the best chess game on Steam! The tutorial and problem sets are also very well thought out. The game profile customization and case system with different chess sets are very enjoyable. This game has bots of all difficulty levels, from easy to advanced. The game has only two minor drawbacks: it takes up quite a bit of hard drive space and it's quite difficult to find a human opponent to play with.
At $7.99 its totally worth the price of admission! It's pretty, the graphics are very good, the atmospheres are incredible, the animations are cool, audio is good, leveling is good, many different players and difficulty levels, etc. This game makes my graphics card and CPU run warmer than Warzone or any FPS game I play. Still well within / under the safe zone limit, just ODD to me to say the least. Very good game for all levels of Chess intellect, from easy to humiliatingly impossible. The scenery is gorgeous, the award system is cool and creative as well. If you like Chess, I'm pretty confident you'll like this game, and yes you can play online humans too. Definitely recommend even at the full price of $10.00
Pretty graphics, beautiful scenery, very nice to play solo vs computer. Not to play multi, multiplayer is dead there's like 5 persons playing this game on Steamchart.
Would be good, if one could find anyone to play online......had same issue with ultra......waste of money
This Chess game is very challenging and gives you the ability to see the board from many different view angles
Great background graphics. Solid chess with many AI players. A 'tour' which takes you to different geographical locations to play. A good rating system. Good reward system to use for different chess pieces, portraits and puzzles. You can play on-line if anyone is logged in to play. Overall a solid chess game by makers of the fantastic , 'Queens Gambit Chess Game' (found on Netflix. Note: not the series, the game)
比起前作终极国际象棋失水准,点击棋子走动不够灵活,对机器配置要求也高,而且也不支持中文,有点失望,不过毕竟虚幻引擎制作的,画面、背景都比较华丽,在国际象棋游戏中还算是可以的。
