Full transparency: I received my copy of Caverns of Mars: Recharged through Atari’s Space Camp event in the Atari Club Discord. Caverns of Mars was supposed to be one training module. Instead, it became the game I kept returning to long after completing the Space Camp requirements. The basic idea is pure arcade design: descend through Mars, dodge enemies and terrain, blast open a route, manage your limited resources, and destroy the reactor at the bottom. It sounds simple—and it is easy to understand—but clean execution is another story. Every shot and movement can change your route, while the different weapons and upgrades force you to adjust your plan in the middle of a run. Since starting, I’ve completed the Ironman challenges multiple times and moved into speedrunning the game. My 10:24.990 Arcade Singleplayer run currently sits first on the Speedrun.com leaderboard. Chasing that time showed me where Caverns of Mars: Recharged is at its best. Once you begin learning the caverns, every hesitation, unnecessary shot, bad weapon pickup, and collision starts to matter. There is always another small improvement hiding somewhere in the run. The 30 individual missions offer a good collection of shorter challenges, but Arcade mode is the real star for me. The game is not massive, and it is not trying to be. It is built around repeated attempts, improving your execution, chasing scores, and finding a cleaner route through the chaos. The energetic soundtrack also fits the pace extremely well without overpowering the action. Atari has much bigger names in its catalog, but Caverns of Mars: Recharged deserves more attention than it receives. Space Camp got me into the cockpit; the game itself kept me descending. Recommended for arcade players, score chasers, and speedrunners who enjoy a game that is simple to pick up but gives you plenty of reasons to say, “One more run.”

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
