Cave Story+

1.8 hours on record rn, already beaten 50.1% of people who own this game because I beat the third boss lmao in all seriousness, seems like a pretty good game. really interesting enemy design and setting, though its dialogue and controls are kinda jank. also insta-kill spikes suck. I'd recommend playing on normal because i picked easy out of fear i might be ass but it turns out the default easy difficulty is a bit too easy so far. will see if this continues into the lategame, hahaha (also apparently the publisher for this version sucks and ♥♥♥♥, so uh... maybe... don't buy this one and instead try to find the original. bleh)

I really enjoyed it. Got this game on a humble bundle a long time ago and never played it until like two weeks ago, been playing forgoten stuff on my library instead of buying more games. Had a nice surprice with this one, the story is nice, the gamplay is really fun, a jump n shoot metroidvania type of game, It's not a huge title but that's an advantage, super straight forward, good quests that encourage backtracking and level exploration, tight and well designed maps too.
