About
Exo-archaeologist Bale arrives on Tor Ulsat with his colleague Jen, an exo-linguist, to study the ruins of the lost Tor civilisation. But when he unwittingly activates the Chronolith - an ancient alien device - reality shatters. Jen vanishes, and Bale is trapped in a fractured world where time loops and echoes of the past and future bleed together.
With no way to contact mission control, Bale must navigate countless obstacles, unravel the fate of the Tor, and outwit the cryptic and mysterious forces that oppose him. As reality unravels and truth remains buried in the ruins, Bale's only hope is to solve the mystery of the Tor - before he's lost to the loop forever.

Record, re-record, and replay. Use the signature 'Echo Branching' mechanic to record your actions and engage with up to three echoes of your past self. Harness these duplicates to skillfully learn to manipulate ancient alien systems that once seemed impossible to navigate.

Explore beautiful environments through fifteen hand-crafted chapters filled with secrets that will allow you to unravel the mystery of this alien planet.

Explore a mysterious alien planet through the lens of an emotional and thought-provoking story, with the puzzles always supporting the momentum of the underlying narrative.

Every character is fully voiced by a fantastic cast.

An awesome sci-fi puzzle game, with fair and rewarding difficulty. The main game mechanics reminds somewhat of the Recorders in The Talos Principle, except that, unlike the Recorders, it's fast-paced and fun. What also makes it outstanding is its performance on Steam Deck. In my experience, Causal Loop with the "Steam Deck" built-in graphics quality preset runs in 30 fps nearly flawlessly, without any upscaling, even with HDR turned on (I have OLED), and with default Proton. And it looks great, with cool reflections and shadows. Given that most UE5 games run like slideshows on a Deck, this is legendary job. Playing with a controller, you might want to adjust the turn sensitivity rate and the up/down sensitivity rate to your liking. I've settled on 0.7 and 0.6 respectively (the default is 1.0 for both settings) but YMMV.
A very fun puzzle game made by 3 developers, puzzles were hard but fair really made you think, price is actually really good for 10-15 hours of gameplay, optimized really well also

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game, to anyone searching for something "portal" like, go.
Very fun Puzzler with interesting mechanics. The story is engaging so far although some of the conversations feel a little too predictable. Overall I am enjoying this a lot and would appreciate some Multiplayer!
The graphics and the sci-fi setting combined with the mystery made me buy this. But I'm not convinced, now when I've tried it. The dialogue is pretty mediocre. The characters talk too much, and they try to be funny when they shouldn't. They ruin the mood and the atmosphere of the game. On top of that, there are a couple of other things that reveal that this is a cheap production (in a bad way). First, the devs have cleary not tested this game with global illumination set to "high". The environment turns pitch black, and it was completely unplayable. Second, the cutscenes make it obvious that they had one 3D model of a human in a space suit, and couldn't even make the effort to model a proper head without the helmet. Third, the use of teleporters everywhere... They seem to be the cheapest attempt I've ever seen to hide a loading screen. Not only do they make you disoriented, but they chop up the entire experience in tiny pieces and make everything feel like a random collection of scenes. Only because they had to sell the graphics and couldn't pay a decent programmer to fix the technical limitations. The difficulty of the puzzles increases as you progress, but not in a clever way. They only become larger, spread out over a larger area, and more maze-like. Add the annoyance with the teleporters to that, and you'll have a really bad experience.
Nice puzzle mechanics with not to much handholding and a good story. The only bad point for me is the key throw mecanic, but luckely you do not need it that often.
cool puzzle game
Nice game is really fun to play with all the puzzles. If you don't have good space awareness, it can be tricky, especially in the last stages. Advice: include a simple map
Wow, what a hidden gem. I can't believe how this has only so fiew reviews right now. To be honest, the pricing is crazy cheap for what's in it. It looks very good, runs smooth and is overall astonishingly polished (for nowadays). I mean, some of the puzzles are a bit too overcomplicated and big, but overall? Very good. There are many things you can collect and a bit of interesting lore in it. Since you can easily restart any chapter and see what you left behind, I plan to collect and read everything I missed. If you love puzzle games with a decent story (bit cheesy, but in a good way and also funny), this game is for you. A grand experience! I beat the story in about 14 hours and liked it very much. Hopefully there will be more sales for the game — I can't wait for another one from this team. Thank you. 😀
