This has to be one of the most unique creature collectors on the market, I love how it took what came before it in the genre and took it's own spin on it, instead of how most tend to just wear their Pokémon inspiration on their sleeves and call it a day. It says a lot to me that I both saw a friend finish this and still wanted to play it and also want to get every achievement in the game. If you like the idea of a more technical "Type chart" where no type is truly stronger or weaker than another with a more folk-loreish take on it's creatures then you'll love this. The dynamic music is also incredible , I can't think of a vocal track I dislike in this game I cannot wait to see what Byten does with 2002 as this game sold me on it and any future works
A fantastic creature collector with great monster designs, a unique and fun combat system, and a phenomenal soundtrack. Story is merely alright and the game does arguably run out of steam near the end but it's an easy recommendation for anyone interesting in a creature collector, indie RPG or simply a good game, and $20 without a sale is a steal for a game this good.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Semplice, rapido e piacevole da giocare. Avrei aggiunto dei QOL maggiori per velocizzare le battaglie

This game brought my love back of monster catching games. So much heart was put into this that I can't wait for the sequel.

An amazing album with a pretty decent game as a bonus
Addicting game, interesting designs for the critters, the world is nice, the music gives me the impending doom that something bad is gonna happen underneath all this fluff and very fun to play!... Kinda, there are times that I feel the challenge of the game is quite...odd, being a level 10-14 and having level 1-4s three or one tap you makes it where you have to rest every 2 seconds, heck, just slap combat in general! It doesn't feel rewarding to win a combat just a fight for your life then you get some supplies, if thats the intention then good on you, but if this is suppose to be a fun little creature catcher then...ehhh? Some fusion combinations are just...well, i would say they're stronger than the Big boys(if you know what I mean)! Tried to do a raid with a beast, poison but couldnt even fight the boss because the minions had priority moves. Couple that with the earlier statement of things just 3-4 tapping you(if you're lucky) it just makes me want to avoid rogue beasts because honestly there's no point in trying to grind a higher level to fight them because they will always be 2-4 levels higher than you with tough hitting attacks. Combat is slow, I would love to have the option to speed combat dialog and animations up so it doesn't feel like it takes forever to do a move. Then after all that you run/teleport back to the Cafe or rest up at camps which by the way, why can't I rest in my bed? What is the point of my house? Perhaps that will be explained the further into the game I get.. Stamina! You gain stamina after major events(won't spoil) but with how big the map feels, I feel like my character has asthma with how quickly that wheel drains, it's funny cuz Arthur Morgan had lung issues but moved more and quicker than this MC. At least fill the area with more teleport spots to make travel less painful (but that might also be something I haven't found yet, as of writing this I'm almost 9 hours in) I love the fact moves are called stickers, and you peel them off to store moves very nice touch. ^^ and evert beast is super versatile as well even with stats making you believe otherwise! Bag storage is my next problem. You gonna tell me...I can carry 900 wood, 70 metal and 600 plastic but I can only carry 5 healing potions and 1 revive? The cassettes seem to be limitless why not these? Or at least cap it at 10 healing and 3 revives. Despite my complaints it is a cute little monster catcher! It's tough, makes you constantly feel like you're playing a nuzlocke but it's got me addicted so far. The story has me interested, again, the lyrics in the Cafe and the music makes me feel like D O O M is on the horizons but with a nice blend of nostalgia. Like you're spending this adventure with a childhood friend. I would happily recommend this game, just would love to see some changes oh and please, please make the settings/title screen less clunky? If I save at a point and faint I want it to slap me back at my save point not rewrite it with me at the hospital only to not do that when I quit the game and reboot it lol (I really hate running back to important places lol)
Not going to lie, the mechanics are definitely overly complex. 20 hours into the game and still getting tutorial popups because "the leftover water from a water attack buffs the earth type by enriching the soil" or stuff like that. I literally can't remember even half the interactions. However! If you don't take the game too seriously, it's actually quite fun, especially to chill on the couch with someone and play through the story together. You get to fight landlords, randomly run into Karl Marx and see some of the most unhinged monsters you can imagine and while the game is mostly silly and not taking itself seriously, occasionally it's somewhat cool even. Honestly idk how the devs came up with so many weird but above all silly monsters but I love them all. When the sequel got announced I wishlisted it so fast lol. Ramtasm my beloved.
Just beat carriage 150 of the Gauntlet, so leaving a review. (Note: I don't have DLC) Disappointment with the stagnancy of Pokemon has led me to the indie scene of monster tamers, and Cassette Beasts impressed me. The element system granting buffs/debuffs added a new layer to combat besides "number go up/down". Double battles being the standard was also nice, made support units more useful. Movesets are easy to modify using the sticker system. Levels are locked to the character, not the beast, so not much individual grinding. Overall the combat was an improvement over what I have been used to. Story is ok. Ending feels a bit rushed. Postgame makes for a better canon ending but requires you to beat the game to unlock it, so some minor ludo-narrative dissonance there. The villainous team analog basically being hyper-capitalist landlords and real-estate types was a chuckle. I found the characters charming. Extra dialogue/conversations run out and loop if you play long enough, which somewhat dampened my appreciation of them. Romance is available. Queer friendly. I like the music. Sprite art is nice. As for cons, animations can get lengthy and you can't really skip them. This does get irritating especially with some automated combo type passives and/or psuedo-infinite combos. Overworld is a bit clunky earlygame until you get more movement passives. Sticker/moveset management gets annoying lategame as you can't search by attribute. Overall I think this is worth the asking price. My complaints are outweighed by my enjoyment. Gamefreak take notes.
