Pretty fun with unique puzzles. All in all a great little game.
Received as part of Humble Bundle. I recommend this to people who are used to odd and trickier games. Carto is not a great fit for me. Its not just a puzzle. There are riddles to solve that do not come naturally. Just tagged it as such. Its been in my backlog, it hasn't pulled me in. Doesnt have to. Just wish there was thought put into QOL. I had to bookmark a guide in my browser. Not a fan of that. Not worth restarting even in Ch 1. Not enough checkpoints. QOL Questline Description! On screen/toggle or in a menu that describes the task at hand. If you set the game down for more than a day, you will forget what the current objective is. You may have to rearrange the map and navigate back to an npc to remind you. And other times they don't even repeat the obj. This can be difficult, as there is no retracing your steps. Remembering where items are or getting them to trigger is rough. The Main Mechanic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with the tiles is taxing. Let us place them down even if the borders arent a match. That way, we don't have to destroy everything and lose sight of the goal. Too many possibilities to keep track of. Mental log doesnt work. Let us back out/rollback to a valid state of the map. Let us select and move multiple tiles at once. Carto walks too slow for all this trouble. Hint System Nothing wrong with a challenge. A reminder of how tiles work or hint system wouldn't hurt. Tutorial Could probably use some work. I was gone for months..I wouldn't have guessed the solution to finding the 4th sheep in Ch 2. That's just throwing spaghetti on the wall atp. The point of Carto is sadly very forgettable. I do want to get Carto home. I am finishing out of spite.

A super cute puzzle game that from time to time was a bit too convoluted for my taste. During a storm, Carto falls off her grandmother's airship and now has to find her again. To do so, she can change the world around her by arranging scraps of paper on her map. Example: A NPC tells you some guy is at the end of the "curved road" so you have to attach two curved road pieces and the hut will pop up at the end. Puzzles get progressively harder, both in figuring them out and executing the solution. There are multiple biomes - grassland, snow, mountains, desert - and multiple NPC stories in those biomes. Sometimes, those puzzles extend over more than one layer, and in later levels, you're not dealing with squares alone. I hate the combination of hidden achievements and having to replay to get them eventually, so after a few chapters, I loosely followed a guide. Once finished, you can select to replay by chapter, but I still would rather not do that. Playtime would probably have been a bit higher without the guide (time spent running around in circles, confused), but I would still recommend waiting for a sale.

A novel puzzle game with lots of interesting riddles to solve. Play as Carto on her adventure to find her grandmother, meeting all sorts of new people from the grass to the forest, volcanoes and even the frigid icelands. I had a good time with this game, its definitely fun and doesn't overstay its welcome. The ending definitely made it a really feel good puzzle game. Do give it a try, Definitely recommended

Je dois commencer par dire que je recommande [i]Carto[/i] car les graphismes, la musiques, l'histoire sont incroyables. C'est mignon, c'est bien pensée et c'est entraînant. Cependant, pendant longtemps je n'ai pas réussi à apprécier le jeu à sa juste valeur parce que j'ai trouvé que la solution de certains puzzles n'étaient absolument pas claire ou évidente. J'ai cherché des heures parfois une issue [i](qui n'était pas forcément bien compliquée)[/i] mais qui n'étaient pas du tout claire ou indiqué. Je pense que le jeu devrais avoir quelques indices ou parfois des indications légèrement plus évidentes. Ce n'est peut-être que moi, mais ayant l'habitude des jeux de puzzles je n'ai pas autant apprécié qu'à l'accoutumée pour cette raison... Ceci dit, le jeu mérite un solide [b][h3]7/10[/h3][/b] pour tout le reste, car malgré les blocages, mon expérience de jeu reste agréable pour beaucoup d'autres fabuleuses raisons.
