For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The legendary Carmageddon engine roars back to life, as a spin-off for a new era of vehicular combat.
The year is 2050, and the world you know is a post‑apocalyptic wasteland.
Hordes of nightmare creatures, the Wasted, lay siege to humanity. Every night, the streets are overrun, forcing everyone to barricade themselves in their skyscraper-homes for survival.
There is just one chance to escape all this: the Carmageddon.
These deadly races promise power, prestige, and valuable prizes to the participants. Most importantly, the champion wins the right to attempt the perilous journey that leads to the spaceport beyond the mountains. The only one left, the only chance to flee this dying world.
You enter the Carmageddon as one of countless racers, equipped with little more than a rust bucket, scavenged fuel, and a makeshift weapon. You'll face off against rival gangs like the Autoscum and other rogues in a fight for survival. Each destruction race is an opportunity to win parts and upgrades, a step towards the ultimate escape.
As the night descends, the Wasted take the streets, and you with them.
The original Carmageddon spirit of vehicular mayhem has been refined and redesigned. We looked at the past and the present to create a visceral, fast and accessible form of combat racing.
• 15 upgradeable vehicles – FWD, RWD & AWD, each with unique weight and suspension
• Metal‑on‑metal car combat – crash, shove, boost and side‑bash rivals
• 13 weapon classes – from shotguns to railguns, all fully upgradable
• 80+ perks – craft outrageous synergies for destruction racing supremacy
• Dynamic weather & day‑night cycle – rain slicks the tarmac, fog shrouds ambushes
• Elite & Boss events – colossal war‑rigs, corrupted Enforcers, and endless zombie hordes
• Extensive visual damage model - windshields, hood, doors, bumpers and trunk lid will bend, crumple, hang and detach.
Every Campaign run offers a unique journey through a randomly generated graph.
Win Events and smash opponents to gain Credits. Maneuvers such as killing Wasteds, drifts, jumps, and flicks also grant rewards.
Strategically plan your route so you can reach Shops. In these safe havens you can repair your car, swap weapons, or install one of the 80+ unlockable perks.
Adapt to the dynamically increasing difficulty and conquer elite events and bosses.
With branching paths, varied objectives, and ever-changing time-of-day and weather conditions, no two runs are the same.
But the Carmageddon ain’t over when your vehicle is wrecked. Another driver will step up, and the challenge will resume anew, in a typical roguelite loop. Earn Beatcoins to unlock permanent bonuses and new content between runs in the Black Market. Find synergies between these elements to create the ultimate killing machine: the Carmageddon never ends
The Carmageddon hosts a diverse assembly of marauders, rejects, and lowlifes. Some prefer to rush in front of the pack. Others will chase you and try to bash you out of the way. Some will wait for the chance to unload their weapons into your car. Some are more skilled or better prepared than others. You may recognize some familiar names in the crowd.
Corrupt police forces known as the Enforcers impose their brutal rules on those spared from mutation. The Enforcers will force you off the road to strip your car for spare parts and ammo, if you let them.
Each area of the city is controlled by a particularly fierce opponent, commonly known as “the Boss”. These are the biggest, baddest, fastest, more armed vehicles that you can find. The rules of the Carmageddon demand that you beat each Boss before advancing to the next stage.
Every race is a brutal test of skill, demanding you master driving, melee, and ranged attacks against a diverse and unpredictable roster of foes. To do so, you must work on your car, find upgrades and weapons that combine well together, and consistently perform behind the wheel.
The Third World War and a series of devastating natural disasters left Earth in ruins. Amidst the chaos, a food supplement called MiVis was introduced to address food shortages, and became a ubiquitous part of daily life.
However, long-term consumption of MiVis led to a horrific cellular mutation, transforming people into Wasted - monstrous, empty husks consumed by the supplement's side effects.
Now, they have become a mass of unsentient, super-aggressive beings that threaten survivors as soon as the sun starts to set.
A lone Wasted is no match for your chariot of fury. Things start to heat up when more Wasteds show up. Boost into the hordes of humanoid husks swarming the track, parting the waves of Wasted like a Moses on wheels! But be careful not to get stuck in the high tide: too many Wasteds will surround your car and smash it to bits with the remains of their raw hands.
And then there are Special Wasteds… horrible supermutations of the Wasted, morphed into something even less human.
They may explode, shoot you from a distance, lunge at your car, or produce even nastier surprises.
They pose a real danger and tend to show up late at night.
And then, there’s the ultimate abomination. A creature whispered about, rarely seen; the monster that guards the only mountain pass towards salvation, and your final challenge.

I was expecting this really poorly made, bad, terrible game. It is just like the older titles being summed up into one game. I have got to appreciate the relatability along how arcade it is like. I do hope you unlock continues later on in the game. One error I having is the tracks it's pretty dark, so sometimes I get mixed up between what lighting is and the repairs for the corners. It is very confusing sometimes. Rogue Shift reminds me of Road Redemption with how the arcade goes along with upgrading your vehicle along with unlocking more as you. Not the same, but that's the closest I could think of anything close to being a bit arcade nowadays with vehicle racing. I almost half like it more than the older Carmageddons, because on those games things it seemed confusing about what to actually do. End up just racing forward anyway a bit like this game. No way in anyone's life to running over 750 peds (not exactly that amount but on the older titles). I know from achievements. It's a good game.
Very underrated racing game, the bad reviews are mostly because it is different from the previous Carma games but this game is good in its own right.

To be Clear. This game is fun and i am having a blast playing it. However I can't help but feel that level progression depends more on luck than any skill. No matter how good a run is I have yet to complete a full run. Now many might say, "you must really suck" But alas it is not only I that has had this issue. The damn rain is a frame rate killer on a 5070!!!!! Yes lots of complaints. Maybe it's nostalgia, but i am still having fun.
this game needs adapting a bit, but its nice for some fun that challenges your abilitys.
Ok, I get why this has "Mixed" reviews here on Steam. If you're used to earlier installments of Carmageddon like 1, 2, or Max Damage (Or even TDR2000), this one isn't like that. This is a spinoff game that does it's own thing while still carrying the same brutal and psychotic vibes of the earlier games. I believe that Rogue Shift is a phenomenal racing game in it's own right. This game is a roguelike, I feel like the roguelike mechanics are done well, but not everyone thinks they belong in a Carmageddon game (even though this is a spinoff). A lot of the core of what makes Carmageddon is here. The gratuitous blood, gore, and violence. The rampant vehicular manslaughter. The banging soundtrack. The tight racing action to keep you on the edge of your seat. The satisfaction of turning another driver into a smoldering heap on the side of the road. It's all here. The only difference is the setting, the addition of weaponry and roguelike mechanics (which I personally love), and the fact that you're running over zombies (called "The Wasted") instead of living people (which for some people who owned a censored copy of C1 or C2, might feel familiar). To be honest though, the shambling hordes of zombies feels fitting for the Mad-Max like apocalyptic wasteland the game presents. This is one of the very few big budget arcade racing games released in the past few years, and it's actually (shockingly) very good. That in of itself is a breath of fresh air, but this game also kinda scratches that itch I've had for a good Burnout game for the past decade and a half (even then Burnout CRASH wasn't good). So that's a nice bonus lol. There's even extra game modifiers that you can unlock once you finish the tournament for the first time, adding even more to the game's replay value. I'd probably wait for a sale (especially if you're still on the fence) but it's well worth buying imo.
Played an hour and got a refund. This is not Carmageddon. This is nothing like the old Carmageddon games. This is a game made capitalizing on the reputation of the classic Carma games. Anyone who has ever played any of the Carmageddon games in the past, like I have, will be severely disappointed in this one. Had this been named otherwise and promoted as a new combat racing game, it may be doing better in the review department. But since this is nothing but a cash grab using a well known classic name, it is failing miserably. For those that don't know, the original Carmageddon games were an open-ish world "race" combat game. You had three ways to win a level. Complete the race, destroy all the peds (pedestrians, or humans. Or for those who were easily offended back then, they were patched into zombies) or destroy all the opponents. There was no time limit, there was no set goal other than to race or destroy, and there was no forced path. If you wanted to race, you follow the race path. Most of us would go the destruction path though. Hunt down every other opponent and ram them until they were destroyed, or you were. There were no real weapons short of a few you could pick up that were temporary. Most were for humor though. This game is nothing but a forced high speed race with short few lap stages. If you don't race the race, you lose. And it doesn't matter how many opponents you destroy. They keep respawning. As do the "enforcers" which are just a mere nuisance. Not to mention the technical issues. If you have dual monitors with another window open on the other monitor, when you use the enter key to fire your weapons, it will often switch from full screen mode to windowed mode and back and forth. Very difficult to play a high speed high intensity racing game when your windows are switching from full screen to windowed mode. So, bottom line, if you are a fan of the classic original Carmageddon games, steer well clear of this one.
